Thank you for my star Sue-UU, it's always a pleasure to welcome newbies to our challenge.
It sounds as though you've been given an early taste of what it's like to be grandparents... Yes indeed Sue-UU! I keep dropping very unsubtle hints about becoming a granny, but they keep ignoring me! Ah well, all in good time :)

I had a lovely relaxing weekend after all the mayhem recently, girly lunch on Saturday and pottering around the garden on Sunday. Bliss

Potting £2.42 today. Have a fabulous week Potters :D

Ooh what great savings, Melody!!! I'm sure you made the sensible decision not to spend. ;)

Just done the first of the month big shop and came in on budget. Got £2.46 change for my pot. I really need to stay in budget for the next couple of months and try and build the savings up. I went a bit spendy and bought a new mattress. Mine was 15 years old and I had daily morning backache so I’ve invested in a “mattress in a box” which arrived Wednesday and I’ve just had the best two nights sleep in ages with no backache! Brilliant for my aches and pains but not so for budgets. Quite a challenge I’ve set myself, stay in budget during the school holidays :rotfl:

I’ve added £5 to my pot this week so am now up to £35. I think I’m going to stop counting exactly what I put in so it’ll be more of a surprise when I open my pot in October.

August is looking to be quite an expensive month for me but I’m going to carry on potting what I can.

Hello there SPCers! I hope you've had a good week and are ready for a gorgous weekend!! :j
For those who are not well or who are low in spirits, take great care of yourselves. Get well soon and {{{{hugs}}}} from all the SPC family. :grinheart

It sounds as if you've certainly been overdoing it, Hicksy, but I hope your day at home has helped you sort things out. It'll definitely have helped you catch up with us all. All the best in getting up together and potting, for the boys too. :D

They say we're supposed to have a new mattress every 10 yrs, Hetty, so you were surely overdue one. Obviously it's working well for you though, so well worth the outlay, though I won't ask what a mattress is a box is! Hubby and I bought a new one in January and it's been marvellous!

Really well done with the £5er potted, Loz!! Good luck with not counting your money potted in future, just save as much as you're able. Even though August is looking to be an expensive one for you (aren't they all!!) do your best and save wherever you can!

All the best with some good budgeting for the next few weeks.

Hello there 32b3 :hello:and fantastic to hear from you once again! I'm not at all surprised to hear you've still been saving, and saving well no doubt knowing you! Whenever you can make it, we'll be chuffed to see you!!
3 months to go?!! Ah, but don't forget there are some days to go alongside the moths too, thank goodness!! See you soon.

    Ah well done Chutney. :D

Excellent work with the weight, Melody!!! :j Yes, those hormones have a lot to answer for, little blighters.

Good potting also, here's to you having a little more to add to it later! ;)

£10 potted after the shopping was finished yesterday. That's it for the week. :j

Have a wonderful weekend folks. :j
    Don't forget....your pots too get hungry!! ;)

    Sue
