            You are doing very well!!
we have a family favourite and it is the ONLY time we use tinned ham - perfect for breakfast, snacks, lunchtime....basically anytime!!! It's called a "cheeseyeggyhammy" - a slice of toast. cover with ham, pop a fried egg on top and then cover in cheese - put under a hot grill to melt the cheese and voila the breakfast of Kings :-)
Good luck continuing your challenge!0 -
That actually sounds delicious! Will deffo be giving that one a go, maybe for brunch on Sunday. Thanks working mum!

Just wanted to pop by and say well done. It’s amazing how the little savings and using things up adds up over a few days! Will be following your journey!Aiming to be mortgage free in 3 years June 2023.

Thanks thick n thin & neverending - it's amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it. If I'd thought a little while ago I would have £210 to last me 21 days I'd have a) panicked b) laughed and said it couldn't be done c) splurged it all in the first 7 days (on rubbish no doubt)! It's good to reset the mind to mse ways every now and again :money:
I've put £2.10 change towards my penny-a-day challenge leaving me with £7.20 in my purse until midnight Friday. Also just realised - I'm into the final week!
Only spends from now on should be:
*Penny-a-day challenge - around £6 required to keep me on track
*Will prob need another £10 petrol
*Food top-up - need supermarket pizza for Saturday night, yes it is an indulgence but so much cheaper than a takeaway and Saturdays have become our "night off/treat night" after prepping, organising, running and clearing up at the sports club.£30,000 £7059.17 DMP consisting of...

To add to this neverending - I'm so glad I did this when I didn't HAVE to if you know what I mean. Makes me want to kick myself for not being stricter all along - I could have made more over payments to my DMP by now
Still, no point looking back on things I cannot change, need to learn from this challenge and keep on moving forward.

            Day 16/21
£7.20 until midnight tonight then £50 until Wednesday midnight.
This weekend we have sports club tomorrow which will keep us occupied and then will chill and do chores Sunday. I've just booked Monday off work as I have a load of annual leave to use up before the end of December. I plan to go through my wardrobe and pull out anything I'm realistically never going to wear again - anything decent I'll ebay and anything not quite perfect can go into a bag for the charity shop. Will drop that in town and also go to the gym, then home to catch up on my soaps and any paperwork I need to do.
Today:
Breakfast - apple & blueberry oatso simple
Lunch - chicken leftovers from last night
Dinner - breaded fish, roasted new potatoes and beans
Still required:
*petrol - this should be the last top-up for the 21 days (I hope
)
*food - minimal bits required
*a stamp
*penny-a-day challenge, still a few pounds needed to keep on track
Should be fine this weekend but I think Tuesday and Wednesday will be interesting :rotfl:£30,000 £7059.17 DMP consisting of...

I've decided I'll definitely be doing this challenge again from 1st - 21st December but I'll be going with £9 a day instead if £10. So £189 to last 21 days  I'll have pretty much exhausted my store cupboard and freezer supplies by then so will have that as an added challenge. Any other money in my account after bills have come out will have to cover Christmas pressies (I don't get too many or go mad to be fair) but I'd like there to still be a surplus towards a DMP over payment.
I'll hopefully be able to use up a few days holiday during the challenge too so will save on petrol and hopefully means I can plan, shop around and hopefully be a bit organised, saving me both time and money!
Now - just these last 5 and a bit days to get through!£30,000 £7059.17 DMP consisting of...
