  • Yesterday was day 3/21.

Spent £3.98 on drinks at the sports club and someone paid me a pound back as I’d paid for their car park ticket a previous week when they had no change (I’d forgotten about this).

We ate sausage baguettes for a late breakfast/brunch before going out and then as we’d had a busy day at sports club OH wanted a takeaway. I said it wasn’t in my budget and he said it would be his treat! (We have mostly separate finances due to my DMP but more on that another time).

Leaving me with £26.53 in my purse.

    So yesterday was day 4/21.

We ate the last of the sausages in bread rolls for a late breakfast/brunch and had pasta bake (YS, from the freezer) with the last of the garlic bread for dinner.

Didn't manage to get anymore ebay items listed but hope to make up for that tonight.

Spent £21.10 in Sains but that included the 2 birthday cards I needed and enough meat for the whole week for dinners and lunches so hopefully shouldn't need much else.

I was left with £5.43 in my purse - put the £5 in a child's birthday card leaving £0.43 in my purse and £231.14 in my account.

    Bring on Monday!

    Happy Monday Morning!

    Day 5/21.

This morning I withdrew £20 (today and tomorrow's £10 per day). Starting the week with £20.43 in my purse and £211.14 in my account.

I'm having cereal for breakfast and leftovers from Saturday night's takeaway for lunch today.

My mission is to list another 5 things on ebay tonight - got 2 dresses, a shirt, pair of boots and a pair of shorts to list. All brand new with tags on - maybe the wrong time of year to list the shorts?

I used the gym again at lunchtime - therefore avoiding the shops.

I'll be putting the odd £0.93p towards my penny a day challenge leaving me with a round £20.00 until midnight tomorrow.

Dinner tonight will be another stir fry using up the last of the veg and noodles.

I'm having a dilemma about a friend's son's birthday and whether to get a gift or not. It will be his 18th and whilst I've never got him anything before (he was already 10 when my friend and I met, myself and OH don't have children yet and so never got into the gift swapping side of things) he's a really lovely boy, not spoiled at all and would definitely not be expecting anything. He's helped me out house sitting before and been extremely grateful of a thank-you gift I've given him. I'm thinking maybe a voucher but I'm still torn. It's not until Thursday 16th so will hold off until nearer the time I think and see how things are then.

    Day 6/21
£20.00 in purse until midnight tonight
Breakfast - crumpet (bought on YS and frozen individually)
Lunch - leftovers from the freezer
Dinner - gammon steak (YS), tinned new potatoes, baked beans & an egg

I'll go to the gym again at lunchtime to avoid any shops/spending.

Can only see me needing to buy lemonade (for a shandy when we get in from work, have beers indoors already) so will nip into Lidl and get 3 x 2litres for 17p each - should last us a while.

Didn't manage to get any ebaying done last night as had an unexpected amount of paperwork and correspondence to do for the sports club - fingers crossed I can get some done tonight.

    Still need:
Petrol top up at some point
Food top up - should only need meal accompaniments for the rest of this week as have the bulk already
Penny a day challenge - around £12 still required to take me up to the end of my 21 days

Lidl only had 2 x 2litres of lemonade left on the shelf last night so I grabbed them and some cornflakes (checked they were cheaper then in Sains) and my bill came to £1.06!! I put the odd 94pence towards my penny a day challenge and was left with £18 until midnight.
