Belated happy birthday sounds like a really wonderful day! CM2

Thanks again for the birthday wishes.
Apart from the rest and restore day I have worked all this week, I feel I deserve the five days off work that I have. Today is raining but still nice and warm. I was going to go for a cuppa and picnic with a friend outside today. Because of the rain I think it will be a walk around, a new to me, garden centre.
I paid the odd £30 off my mortgage (charges of £1.50 had to be paid) to take the term down to 12 years and 3 months. There will be no more overpayments now until the 1st Jan 2021. I then hope to have the 10% to pay off. I have £1,000 and will nearly double it on pay day next Friday.
I spent a 95p yesterday that I didn't need to spend. I usually make my own tea at work but had run out of soya milk. So I bought a takeaway one. I don't feel too guilty because it was needed but I will buy some milk today.
I feel I may have to confess something after the visit to the garden centre. I'll be back later.

Garden centre confessions are good for the soul- plants are definitely my weakness.
2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8562 -
The garden centre visit was postponed so no confessions today but maybe Sunday
Lots and lots of Shopmium purchases today, a couple of items won on their football games they are running, diet coke and a Bueno chocolate bar. They also gave me a free 240g box of Celebration chocolates as a birthday present. @Kittenkirst talked about Greenjinn several weeks ago and I downloaded it, but didn't use it. I did for the first time and got some free diary free milk and aquafaba. I also went with a friend to do a very large Olio collection. Lots of items, potatoes, salad, pasty, grapes, stir fry, sandwich amongst other items. Including some delicious looking cheesecake slices.
Went to L!dl and bought 18 cartons of soya milk so I don't need/want to buy tea at work. I remembered @Porridgecat/@Southcoast mentioning that teabags often come up on their special deals so waited and was rewarded this week by 20% off teabags. Two decaffeinated boxes and two caffeinated ones bought.
I went to Asda as well to buy the new Dr Oeakter vegan pizza that was on Shopmium and few other bits and some knickers. I used my Echo voucher, so one of you on here have bought me some pants! The garden centre plans have been put off again, not really the weather and I'm feeling a bit homely. So I want to be snug at home.
Got up early to do an Olio collection, not much today, Finest sour dough bread x 5, seeded loaves x 6 and Sweet William flower bunches x 5. I have kept a bunch of flowers for myself and put the rest on Olio. Been on three hours now and no one has requested them. Looks like I may have a bunch for each room left over, including the bathroom
Started using a couple of apps that you scan your receipts in. I don't shop much but every little helps. Have asked DS2 to ask/keep his receipts so I can scan them in. I think it will work out about £30 a year for the both.
Sister visiting tomorrow so need to do some tidying/cleaning and make something for us to eat. Maybe a lasagne if I can muster the energy. I have lots of potatoes so could be shepherds pie or jacket potatoes. JP would be the easiest.
I have done some planning and I have managed to bring the predicted mortgage free date forward my two months to July 2025. Ideally I want it to be December 2024 but that depends on entitlement to tax credits and overtime availability.
Have a great day everyone.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off3 -

July 2025 is a great date for mortgage freedom- its not really that far away reallyFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!3 -
We did go ahead with the JP and they were lovely. Had them with an Olio Caesar salad. I couldn't find the hard seltzer
but I'll keep checking the app for more items I will use.
Yes, you are right and the last six months have flown by. I will keep working at reducing it month by month.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off2 -
Pay slip day today, a little less than I was expecting because they took student loan deduction of £31 Depending on how much overtime I do I may be able to claim it back this time next year.
I have bought some cakes and cookies from Aldi to take in to work for my birthday that was last week. Didn't have time to sort it then. I have spent a little money over the last few days. Birthday x 2, spare birthday, wedding acceptance and wedding acceptance. cards. A few bits of from Poundlan yesterday, chocolate bars, compost, pastry brush, nuts, ice cube tray and ice pops.
Today I collected a lamp via Olio. The stand is almost exactly like one I already have in the lounge and the shade is the same but white and not gold. It looks really good in my lounge and the old smaller one has gone in a different corner. My lounge is very dark.
So come Friday this week I will have £1,900 in my future mortgage overpayment account. I will then have a target of finding the £100. I'm hoping Populus will become payable next month, I'm at £43. I also am hoping that I receive more money from the water company. They only backdated the water allowance two years but the problem went back over three. They are also looking in to whether I can claim the insurance excess and the plumber that was needed. They said they would call back within 24 hours and that was about 11 am today.
I few surveys done earning around £3. Planted on a few bedding plants but still lots more to do. Back to work tomorrow for three days.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off2
