Good evening. PAY DAY - so £750 paid in to the account holding next year's10% overpayment. That makes £1,900 which is 24% of my target I think.
No money spent. Lots of Olio items planned for collection tomorrow including wax melts, oats, throw, soap, vegi mince x 6, a basket and my new Tesco Express collection. The last one will mostly be listed on Olio minus my 10%.
PA paid out £6.75 yesterday, it seems to be a slow month on there.
No news from the water company.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off4 -
The throw I collected yesterday is lovely. It's about the size of a single bed and has a picture of the green man on. It smells like it has been stored in a Lush shop. It is currently covering the unsightly fire place in my bedroom.
I spent some money, 75p on six tomatoes and £9 on three jigsaw puzzles from FB marketplace. They will be put away until the colder, darker months, the puzzles not the tomatoes! One is a Christmas scene, A story for Christmas, At the allotment and my favourite The cosy shed. There is a children's book about Percy the Park keeper I used to read my boys called One Snowy Night by Nick Butterworth. It reminds me of that. My boys are 19 and 14 and I still make them sit down so I can read it to them. I also got some beautiful roses via Olio last night. My home is beginning to look like a florist.
Money wise I have paid £30 out of the £100 extra need to make the £1,000 for the month, 25th June/25th July. I feel that I have spent a lot in June. I will do the accounts Tuesday and find out.
Now for a piece of Olio homemade banana cake I was given, squirty cream and a cuppa.

I'm not sure what is wrong with me but I have so much energy. It started last night just before bedtime. I prepared my meals for a 12.5 hour shift today. I then just kept going, tidying the kitchen, took washing in and out, vacumned every room, emptied the bins, sorted some dead flowers and arranged new ones. Full day at work and have came home at 8.30 pm and prepared food for tomorrow's work day, washed up, sorted the food waste (smelly), prepared some rhubarb and washed two Olio punnets of blueberries for the freezer.
Was asked if I wanted to do do 8.5 hours of over time tomorrow so agreed. That should give me the £70 needed to reach my target savings of £1,000 until next pay day. Would like to pick up another one this month to pay for a wedding present for August.
A friend collected a lovely lampshade for my bedroom via Olio today. It's just perfect, I couldn't see anything I like in the shop so really pleased.

It's felt like a spendy month. I will come back and take a look at the figures later or tomorrow and double check.
Made a couple of those dreaded phone calls earlier. One to the water company that was supposed to call me back last week. They now say someone will call me back tomorrow. Another call was to the vets to order flea treatment. I will collect it tomorrow after work.
@Chiglepig - not so much energy tonight. Maybe it will arrive later. If I have any excess I will bottle it for another time.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off3 -
I had a fair bit of financial good news today.
* Requested 10 hours overtime for next week and it was agreed.
* Email from the staff bank to say they are increasing my bank pay to the same as my contract pay, and back dating it to 20th May.
* No money spent today.
* Water company finally got back to me. The manager was very nice, asked me to explain the situation and straight away agreed to reimburse me £325 insurance access I paid, £290 for plumbing work and back date the claim for extra water use, because of the leak, further back then originally agreed, approx. £400, I'll find out tomorrow exactly how much.
* PA survey done for £1.30p.
I have decided that July is going to be even more frugal. No expenditure unless it is for the wedding I have in August or absolutely necessary.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off2 -

Hi everyone, after all the good money news I had a little bad. My computer decided it didn't want to play anymore. I knew it was on it's way out, I have had it around 4 years. I only buy the cheap ones so that I can browse the internet and run Microsoft Money. So £200 spent (not cheap but could be 2 or 3 times that amount or more). Struggling to find Microsoft Money though, I will try another day. I may of lost all my money information because I can't start my old computer. Again I will try another day.
Water company money not here yet but should be soon.
Sitting here, just eating an Olio Costa strawberry muffin, drinking tea and listening to the rain on the conservatory roof. Also have the occasion thunder claps. It's lovely.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off3
