Thank you all.
I have had such an amazing day financially.- I woke up to my wages being paid in (already mentioned it was around £60 more than expected).
- Paid the remaining £700 of the 10% allowance for this year.
- Opened an email to say that water company have reduced my monthly DD to £20 from £31 (was £58 at one point).
- Went to work for my overtime shift. Should get paid around £50 after deductions.
- Whilst at work received another email from water company to say they are refunding me £825 by the end of next month.
- Again at work received an email to confirm I have a free place at a day retreat organised my workplace, and it's on my 50th birthday.
- Received an email to say that the cashback of £75 Amason voucher for changing broadband provider is now payable, it is now safely on my Amason account to spend, probably on cat food.
- Received an email to say £5 is now payable on PA. This has now been paid in to an account that is saving for next year's 10% overpayment. Hoping to pay this off on 1st January 2022 but around £600 short accordingly to my predictions.
The extra savings has reduced my mortgage free date by 3 months. Now September 2025 instead of December 2025.
I now have the next five days off work. I'm going for a walk with a friend tomorrow which will be really nice. I will take an Olio Diet Coke and a slice of my Mum's lovely cake for when we have a break. Food has been bits and pieces from the fridge and freezer to use some bits up, similar tomorrow. I have a tiny little space in one of the freezers.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off5 -

No amazing refunds today but I did wake up to an email saying that someone had used my Echo referral. So I have another £5 voucher to come. I spent one of the previous vouchers today in Morri$ons on ketchup x 3, soya milk, value jam x 2 and some frozen chips. 57p (10% NHS discount) was taken off the total and with the voucher it all cost me 19p.
I then went to Te$co and spent a voucher from another company and got vegan salad cream x 3, vegan sausages, toothpaste x 2, fizzy drink and tortillas. £2.42 after the voucher. The sausages and fizzy drink had £1 and 60p cashback via Shopmium and because I had two cashback claims I could claim the £2 extra. So I think they paid me 60p to try the sausages and drink. DS2 has already had the drink.
I went for a walk with a friend and avoided the cafe by taking my own drink. I couldn't face being inside so we ate/drank outside.
Olio collection of Monster Munch six pack, Finest scones (4), fresh sweetcorn, crackers, cous cous, kiwi's and eggs for DS2.

I was up and out by 9 am today to collect some Olio vegan sausages. She also left out some cheese for me that someone else didn't collect. Went to collect some grapes, panini x 8, granary bread and a cauliflower from another FWH.
Last year I bought a bag from Goo Outdoors and every time I go in/out of L!dl's it sets the alarm off. It also happened in Te$co yesterday so I took it back. They found a tag straight away and removed it. The tag didn't set the alarm off in Goo Outdoors though!
Another email received from Echo to say someone else had used my referral code, so another £5 to go shopping with when it's paid out. Thank you if it's from someone who reads my diary. I think I will get another A$da voucher when I get the email to choose.
Signed up to i-say today and earned 45 points/pence for filling out the first survey.
It seems that the water company refund is £32 more than expected and it doesn't look like they are taking out next months DD. So another £30 saved.
Does anyone know if we are allowed to put referral links in our signatures?Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off2 -
Good morning. I woke up to the water company's payment going in to my account. It has now been moved to the account that is holding next year's 10%. So it now stands at £860. I'm going to challenge myself to get it to £1000 before next pay day (25th June). I'm expecting an extra £70 next week so that will be a good part of it.
I feel really motivated now after getting started on next year's overpayment. It is also so motivating to see South_coast pay their mortgage off today. Trying to imagine the day that it will be me.
So far the only money saving thing I have done is complete a £3.75 PA survey and not spent any money.
The big plan today is to give the kitchen a deep clean. I need to move the chest freezer out of the sun/utility room in to kitchen so it doesn't have the sun on it. So may as well give everything a good clean.
I forgot to colour in my squares. I must make another one for the next 10%.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off4 -
I have had a lovely day and managed to empty the chest freezer and move it to the kitchen. Floors and walls all cleaned. Re-organised the freezers so the main meal items like sausages, vegan pieces, mince etc are in the fridge/freezer with draws. Kitchen works much better now. I also tidied and cleaned about half the utility/sun room where the chest freezer was taken out. I feel much more motivated do more now I can see the results.
Used some sprouting potatoes for DS2 mash tonight. He had some sausages, carrots and gravy with it. Hoping to sort a few vegies for the freezer tomorrow.
Collected some ketchup and mayo sachets, lemon slices, lemon sauce and 1 kg mozzarella cheese (I will freeze in portion size bits for DS2s homemade pizzas). Tomorrow I have chocolate, croutons, salad, mac cheese and sweetcorn to collect. I also have my normal Te$co pick up, most of which will go on the site for others to collect.
PA have been really good today and I have earned over £6.50.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off3 -
