  • Hallelujah, labelled photos on Rightmove. They're not too bad. You've got a lot of stuff in every photo which makes them feel quite "busy". The order is a bit random - make it flow through the property, rather than having a picture of the garden in the middle.

Aside from the unnecessary wood burner one, and then slightly random order of the garden shots, they're all fine - in conjunction with the floor plan, they seem to give a good illustration of each room - the "long narrow" rooms in the photos are indeed narrow on the floor plan. I wouldn't feel the need to take any again.

    One thing though:

A good price will make up for a poor set of photos, but a good set of photos won't make up for a poor price.

One of my bugbears is vague addresses - does everyone in your market know where Cootham (pop. 200) is?

I dont know how to see those previous photos .
"Properties sold nearby - View more." Top one.

My response was based on a quick run through, not a detailed study. This is what happens when someone scans through Rightmove's listings. It's why first impressions matter so much.

Duh! 3.1 miles from Pulborough! :D

Where's Pulborough when it's at home?

Completely agree. Also, one of the first questions I'd ask myself is, 'why are they selling again so quickly?' - I know you can answer it, but I think it may put some people off

Good point but i guess that is up to the agent to pass on the information. We are for family reasons which can't be helped. It's a reluctant sale but it couldn't have been foreseen when we purchased.
  • Mojisola - agreed. Woodburner is not the most important - could be moved to the end as a close up of a feature

Davesnave - i see what you mean about the narrowness. The earlier ones do give a slightly better perspective so will evaluate to see if we can get better.

SmashedAvocado - i had the same thought about the nursery. The cotbed just blocks the view of the room so i may disassemble and take a new photo. It is primarily a nursery however. I do think the dining room/conservatory could look better as well

AnotherJoe - noted on the telescope and the grouping of photos.

We live in a Hamlet near Pulborough which is in West Sussex. It is near a village called Storrington (about a 10 min walk) so most people in the area would know where it is. That being said it is semi-rural which is one of the perks of where we live (if you're in to that of course ;)

I do agree that the previous photos are better by far. It makes the place look bigger and brighter, generally more appealing.
    It's not difficult!
'Wander' - to walk or move in a leisurely manner.
    'Wonder' - to feel curious.

Is that just the angle of the photos or the presentation of the rooms in general? We do have different furniture so can't replicate exactly

There's what some would call a lot of clutter on display - is there a storage facility nearby where you can rent space and put all your bookcases, books and other stuff such as the telescope out of sight in order to make the rooms more spacious?

The tv on the wall near the ceiling would put me off.
