Someone mentione about any claims being wrote off against debt i don't know how that stands with a DRO just finished i don't know if we would have to pay back or not.
One thing i would say is i find it very sad the reaction i have got here not so much for asking for a CMC but lack of understanding how a brain injury can affect someone's way of thinking and understanding of things, it's just a sign of how the world is i guess and all i can say is i hope none of your loved ones get hit with any form of brain injury it does make you look at life in a different way weather you want to or not
Thanks everyone who did try to help me out a bit.

The issue really is that you've come in asking for a claims company to use and everyone has tried to explain why that's a bad idea and that hasn't been picked up.
As I and others have said repeatedly, if you have had debts put in a debt plan or written off, even if a PPI complaint results in a payout, it will almost certainly be offset against the money the lender has not had back from you, however, the PPI firm would still charge you their % of that "refund" even though you didn't actually get any money thus putting you more in debt which nobody here wants you to be, hence the recommendation not to use a claims firm (indeed, mention of a DRO should automatically result in the claims firm refusing to take your case, though many will). In essence you are asking for a refund of money you never paid - a DRO doesn't mean you don't owe the money just the lender agrees not to chase you any more. If they then owe you money they can just balance it off against the old debtSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

As before, the wisest course of action is for OP to enquire personally of the DRO provider or (again as before) make an appointment at the local CAB no matter how busy they are helping others.
There really is little more that can be said here which hasn't been already in this long thread.

Well i have been in touch with the Insolvency Service today and they said it depends on the lender some will want to offset and some will not bother so it's a real hit and miss game, so i'll go through the DRO and see who is on it and compare that with the information i have on lendors and make a claim first on the ones who are not on the DRO.
Nasqueron & Moneyineptitude you are the only ones who keep going on about CMC, it has been explained and i don't agree with the rules here on it but it's not my forum so i work within the rules (even if i do think they are stupid), but last time i posted i didn't mention CMC so maybe best if you didn't keep going on about it.

Argos, you can complain by phoning or writing probably better off phoning in your case, but if you had ANY storecard sod prior to 2005, don't hold out any hopes.

Withe regards to pang back after a DRO
If you have any amounts that you didn't pay off during the DRO, such as, they froze the interest, then any redress will go towards that frozen interest first.
People tend to think that once their IVA or DRO or DMP are finished, then that means it's finished and totally paid off. This is not normally the case. Usually, there are amounts that have been written off, or interest that has been frozen.
If the debt had been paid back in full without using any debt rememdy, such as a DRO/IVA/DMP then thiese amounts would have been paid.
It's possible you may get some money back, but equally possible you won't. Don't hold any hope for any money coming back to you, count it as a bonus if it does.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
