I too love Brussels but definitely not as crisps! I don't really each crisps usually, although will pinch one or two of DH's if he has plain ones.

New week for me, and need to try and be good. Got a meal out tomorrow but other than that it shouldn't be too bad.

Todays plan:
Breakfast - SW quiche
Lunch - rice, meatballs and sauce
Dinner - Chilli
Snacks - SF jelly, fruit, popcorn

HA - milk and cheese
HB - oats thickening the meatball sauce and breadcrumbs in the meatballs
Syns - jelly (0.5), popcorn (2.5), meatball sauce (2)
Zebras rock

Not a crisp lover but would definitely give them a go!

Today's Scooby Snacks:

B - Wholemeal roll with bacon egg and mushroom (HEB), mixed fruit bowl (Strawbs, blackberries, blueberries, orange and a plum)
L - Veg soup and leftovers from last night's chicken dinner (Chicken, boiled pots, carrots and broccoli)
D - SW rich Pasta Bolognese (HEA - grated cheddar)
Snack - Donner meat with sliced gherkins (from Fakeaway)

:)

Thanks for the new thread Chris.

Can I ask what info you all use to set your target weight please?

I've looked at the nhs guide but their suggestions for me are so low.....

Curl girl - you don't need to set your target as low as the NHS guide. Quite often people decide on what dress size they'd like to be rather than a particular weight.

You also don't need to set a final target to start with, just interim targets of perhaps 7lb or a stone at a time depending on how much you need to lose. I originally set my target too low and when I reached it my GP was not impressed and told me I needed to put back on at least 7lb, even though it felt a comfortable weight for me. The reason being because I suffer chest infections on a regular basis and she said I wouldn't be able to fight off the infections at the weight I was.

When you reach a weight you feel comfortable at you can just call target.

I agree - I always had it in my mind that I wanted to lose 5.5 stone but decided that that, for me, was unmaintable so settled for 5 but now even that, with 6.5lbs to go, seems like an impossible reach.

Went running again this morning....I will do that half marathon :rotfl:
• Morning All,

Weighed in last night, -0.5lb, will take that and run :D Very happy with it especially after the last weekend…

Plan for today-
B - Baked oats with raspberries (Half of HexB as used 20g oats + half a syn for baked raspberries)
L – Steamed veggies
D – Haven’t decided just yet, maybe steak or something out of the freezer :)
Snacks – Fruit and Babybel light cheese (HexA)

Curl girl, you don't have to set the target to something you aren't comfortable with, just see how you get on, maybe try setting smaller interim targets and when you reach them, re-evaluate whether you want to lose more, if not just try maintaining that.

I didn't manage to stay for group on Saturday, but it seems like I missed a few things!

My consultant has just been in touch to say that I've been nominated for the Mr Sleek final this week in group! I've been asked to make a speech about my weight loss story.

Has anyone done this before that could give me some pointers? I'm not great at making speeches so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks :)
