Sorry, I finally found the thread but as much as bargepole shell was there it doesn’t apply to me in as much as the registered keeper cannot know about this and therefore can’t go to court. I assume therefore my son ( the driver) will need to ring Gladstones and pay as we have no other options? Is that right do you think!0
-
Well he knows he got the tickets etc and that they are saying about court but I said I have a defence so it won’t go that far, it was completed on line which he was aware of, what I mean is I don’t want him to know it will still go to court in his name, I don’t see how he can have any defence in court if he wasn’t the driver and has no knowledge about how to defend it he has learning difficulties and would never be able to represent himself. I hope that makes sense, in other words I guess my son will just have to pay?0
-
Well basically he can not and would not take time off work for what he would see as my sons problem to go to court, it’s not an option to him. I just can’t see a way out other than pay 😔0

where did the dastardly offence happen ?
supermarket? ... gym? ..... retail park ?
one way to possibly avoid is to contact the landlord/ land owner / company and appeal to them ...
Parking Lie will some times settle for a lower amount before court fee's have been paid .....

Have you thought of entering him in "Father of the year" it looks a dead cert
On a more serious note if my son was being hounded by the parking scammers I would do all in my power to help, the people on here are good but they cant work miracles!!!0 -
Oh tell me about it. It’s a very strained relationship and we are in the middle of a nasty break up so it’s very bad timing, I just need to know my options so guess none is the answer, the scammer wins0

In that case, the best course of action is for you and your son to do nothing further at all.
Simply hand all the paperwork to your husband, and tell him as he is the Defendant, he should deal with it.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
My son was visiting a friend ( 4 occasions ) he said it was ok to park outside his house across the top of his drive as the company pcm don’t do anything. We therefore received letter after letter for the 4 occasions but threw them away thinking nothing would come of it. Then I get a court claim which I wrongly filled out I now know by adding a defence. I now have a papers only application, it’s basically a Gladstones letter with attached forms to the courts applying for papers only claim. My husband is the keeper so all addressed to him. However I didn’t disclose my son was the driver but my husband won’t appear in court for
The case, I’ve never been so stressed, he knows about it all but thinks I have basically got it covered by my defence and not that if I decline papers only that he will need to go to court. My hubby and son don’t have a great relationship plus he just can’t take time off work at this time, not that he would anyway. I jjust need to know my best step from here basically. It’s now £8000 -

I'm sorry to hear that and I'm thankful you didn't take offence at my 'joke'
Sounds like you have a lot to deal with currently and my view would be the same as Bargepoles, do nothing and don't accept any blame or finger pointing, there are more and more people being scammed by the parking parasites and if your husband cant be arsed dealing with it then more fool him!!!0 -

Your husband clearly does not understand the implications here.
If he does not defend, does not go to court, the case will default to Gladstones/PCM and he will get a CCJ which lasts for 6 years and will affect his credit rating meaning loans etc will be very difficult to get.
Plus he could get a visit from bailiffs where further costs will be added and they will only accept cash/card payments or take goods to the value of.
Sorry to scare you but this is a reality check for him
If he does not want any of this, he should take over this thread and let the good people on here help.
The one known factor is that Gladstones add on fake charges which are not allowed0
