So DS2 had his consultation with the Educational Psychologist on Wednesday. We got as far as confirming he’s very complex.A few suggestions offered, but more work to do to unpick him. He’s really struggling and it’s absolutely exhausting.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

So sorry to hear that DS2 is struggling. I know how hard it can be for the whole family. Is the EP doing to assess him again after putting in place the suggestions offered?

So mini update from me as I appear to have gone AWOL. The kids only broke up on Thursday, so we've only just started our Easter.
Friday - Garden day, just tidying up bits and relaxing a bit. NSD
Saturday - STEAM session for the boys at the library (Free), followed by a treat at Costa (not free) and more gardening.
Sunday - I got the dog out nice and early for a walk, then the kids and I just chilled at home playing and watching movies. NSD.
Monday - My parents came round for a games afternoon and we played board games, rolled our Easter eggs (down the slide due to bad weather) and then the boys had their swimming lesson. NSD
Tuesday - Chill at home day catching up on housework and planning the garden/allotment etc. NSD
Wednesday - I'm working - kids are at a short breaks group - £24 for both.
Thursday - DH and I are having an allotment day. Kids are going to a free respite group for the day. This may involve buying things for the allotment, so not likely to be a NSD.
It's been a weird start to the holidays, my brother inlaw died at the end of March, but they didn't inform us until a few days later (he'd withdrawn permission for them to speak with my sister and was refusing to speak with her etc), so it's all a bit strange. My nephew is in another country and trying to coordinate his return with a funeral and other bits and bobs is proving quite difficult especially with the long bank holiday weekend. I don't even think she has a death certificate yet.
As a result of the above, I'm finding it very difficult to plan anything for the second week of our Easter because there is a strong likelihood we'll have the funeral to attend. But I'm not sure, when.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Couldn't stop myself doing a cheeky OP of £50. I won £50 on premium bonds this month so seems fair (although I reinvested that). It's taken another month off my mortgage repayment date.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I was right about yesterday not being a NSD. I spent £100 on gardening stuff (mainly seeds and seed potatoes etc).Ooophs.The kids went to a group for the day. They really enjoyed it and seemed to have a great time. But then right at the end it was spoilt for DS1. When picking him up we’d seen him talking to a little girl and a boy. We thought they were chatting but it turns out the boy (younger than him) was calling him “a freak” in a nasty way and saying he shouldn’t be talking to the girl.I’m so proud of him though because although he finished the day in tears, he hasn’t let it put him off and said he would go back because he had fun.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Sooo my nephew is flying back on Tuesday for 2 months, still no news regarding the funeral and my uncle was rushed into hospital with a blocked bowel this morning.Honestly, I don’t know whether I’m coming or going atm.Was looking for somewhere to stay near my sisters for a weekend whilst my nephew is over just to meet up. Everywhere is so expensive. 🙄Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
