So DS2 is having a tough time at school. He's really really struggling. Keeps voting with his feet and going to the toilet and refusing to come out. I highly suspect he's demand avoidant and there in lies the issue. We use a lot of PDA type strategies with him, but school and PDA kids rarely are a smooth ride. Sigh.
Still we have a meeting with the SENCO and class teacher on Monday so hopefully we can get things moving.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

So it turns out I have a severe vitamin D deficiency (probably not that surprising - I’m not a Sun worshiper and I live in the North of England).So I’ve been given a super dose - but the chemist have had to order it in. In the meantime I’ve been researching all sorts of stuff. So decided to invest in some multivitamins for us all. I think the kids would definitely benefit as well. Being autistic getting a balanced diet can be difficult at times.Anyway, I’m determined to be proactive and make sure we are all healthy in 2023!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Humdinger1 said:Hoping all is well @twinklie? You are doing an amazing job love Humdinger xxWe are all ok, still plodding on. There’s been a lot going on in the background. My sister is having serious mental health issues again and there are some wider family issues. But I won’t go into detail on here because it’s all quite unusual and would be easily identifiable.But needless to say it’s all been taking up quite a bit of headspace. Grr.On the money front, we’ve had to fork out money for a few bits and bobs just recently, including breakdown cover. Just waiting for the cash back so I can OP it. Got the cash back from my mobile phone purchase this morning so that’s £40 to knock off the mortgage.OPs have had to go on the back burner at the minute though just because of all the little extras we’ve had to fork out for.We are having to expedite the fence fixing this week to as the dog has managed to escape to visit a number of our neighbours at the beginning of the week. Eek!
Today is however chore day, starting with the kids room as my youngest wants to get creating his train set which I said he couldn’t do until I’ve cleaned in there.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

So as I mentioned previously OPs have gone on the back burner a little bit this month and likely next month too.We are paying out for a few bits and bobs for the house. But it’s all tools etc which will be reused lots so it’s not so bad.
We’ve got rid of a lot of sports kit this month (clubs kit that was cluttering our house) and the garden chores have started.Back fence is fixed and in place. Basil the faulty tree (dangerous lean) has been take down, all Christmas bits are in the loft…
The house is starting to look a little more organised and our utility bills continue to reduce which is amazeballs.Today is the last day before we go back to the madness of work and school - so we shall see how we all cope. The kids have been struggling with the thought of the return to school since Thursday.
It was our half term this week. It’s been quiet really.
Sat - STEM club (no spend).
Sun - played at home with toys (no spend).Mon - Played at home - they didn’t want to leave the house (no spend). Swimming lesson (already paid for).Tues - Eye test for DS2 (free). Went for lunch after (£11). Parking (£3). Foot measuring and bought shoes and trainers (£90) - Total £104
Weds - kids went to a short breaks respite group (£28).
Thursday - stayed home and bought new shoes/trainers for DS1 (£65).
Friday - Movie day at home (£4.99 to purchase a movie the kids love).Saturday - Lego club (no spend) Trip to costa as a treat - DH has been working away so it was for us to spend time together. (£20).Sunday - Game day at home.Total spends
Activities = £66.99
Footwear = £155
You could argue the footwear is an extravagance. But DS1 had school shoes the right size but needed trainers for home and school in the right size. DS2 needed school shoes and trainers for home and school - he was complaining his feet hurt.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Sounds like you had a busy, fun but organised week twinklie. IMHO comfortable shoes are never an extravagance, they are really important. We've all got odd shaped feet in our family so its never easy getting ones to fit, but the difference it makes is amazing. Hope it all goes well tomorrow, at least we should be heading into better weather soonish."Think of many things, do one"

I’ve been offered an allotment. Going to visit tomorrow to see if it’s something we are happy to take on.I love growing veg at home but just don’t have the space to grow the quantity I’d like.So I’m hoping this works out ok for us. Fingers crossed.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
