It’s seed sowing day today. I’ve been a busy little bee in the greenhouse. Not so busy down the allotment. Sigh.

So it's our second week of Easter and it's going as follows:
Monday - Shoe shopping and allotment visit to look at the shed - big clean out and a few tip trips at the weekend. I've put things into sorted piles to go though. £60 spent.
Tuesday - Day out with kids and my Mum as a park we've never been too before. It was beautiful and such a nice day out. £0.65 spent on a drink of water as we'd finished what we brought - it was HOT.
Wednesday - Stay at home day, did chores in the garden and managed to plant some more veg. NSD
Thursday - Not quite sure what's happening today. The kids want to go to a soft play place - we compromised with an outdoor play place. £13
Friday - Day out with kids and my parents. NSD
Saturday - allotment day and tip trip. NSD hopefully.
Sunday - Chill out day at home before the return to work. BOO. NSD

I should add, still no sign of the funeral.

My dad's brother is also in hospital after his gall bladder burst - it's still touch and go as to whether they can clear up the infection and as to what sort of damage has been done. Just a waiting game for now.

Eek, I’ve found a job to apply for. I don’t particularly need nor want a new job. BUT, people are leaving my place hand over fist because of how bad it is currently.

I’m starting to worry about how bad it will continue to get before it gets better. We shall see I guess.

It’s a civil service job and I’m currently local government so it would be a change. Different area of work too, but not insanely different.

We spent the afternoon/early evening at the allotment yesterday.

The shed is clean and tidy and the bed is now ready for potatoes to go in. They are currently chitting away on my shelves in the utility room.

So I finally feel like progress has been made. Just need to get a few things to the tip and we are away.

Loads of things are growing in my greenhouse fortunately so that’s exciting too.

Well, I went back to work and started questioning if it’s something I see myself doing for the next 20 years. I came to the conclusion it isn’t. Therefore I’m applying for some other roles.

I’m not going to be devastated if I don’t get them, but I am going to keep my eye out for anything that takes my fancy going forward.

We shall see what happens I guess.

Hopefully the car scrap people are coming to scrap our old car today. I really hope so.

I applied for the job. I’m actually not bothered if anything comes of it at this point. I’m just quite pleased I have a starting point for future jobs.

And I’ve identified a training need for myself. So a worthwhile outcome regardless of anything else. 😁

Its a good start twinklie.  I've taken jobs for the salary mostly, but I'd like to have something that I really feel great about at the end of the day.  I'm going to start looking too, and my first task will be to get all my application data updated.  Good re. the training need too - its good to keep learning and it increases your employability.  Sandy
