Oh me too. It’s a dream of mine to have an allotment - it has been since I was little (I was a weird kid).

I didn’t have a garden growing up or as an adult until we bought this house.

It’s only a 7 minute drive from my house and has a big park and kids play park nearby. So I’m thinking we could go to the allotment, run the dog at the park, go to the allotment to do some work, then when the kids get bored, take them to the play park for a bit.

    I hope, I hope, I hope.

Sounds like a plan twinklie. The kids will love it if it's next to a playpark. My dad had an allotment after we all left home so I have fond memories of helping him out on the allotment when home from university.

The allotment sounds brilliant especially with a park so close. Home grown veg isn't a bad idea at the moment with the shortages and price increases.

Eek we’ve took the plunge. We’ve got a plot with a quince tree, apple tree, hazel, a shed, some raised beds all ready to go but currently hidden by bramble.

    I’m so excited. 🥰

There’s gold under all those brambles.  :D

Day 1 of allotment - I’m pretty pleased with the progress. Those brambles are evil.
