Can I be sacked?

Janey surely you can see the in consistence in your posts. Being discriminated against your religion is a much more severe situation than not being trained after mo this in the job so why did you opt to focus on the latter rather than the former? It makes no sense whatsoever especially when you've confirmed that your manager never raised issues with your performance.
Assuming you haven't raised any grievances or you would have mentioned it here but did you at least raised it to your manager and if so what was their response?
Why did you not tackle this whilst you were off sick for months if indeed your intention was to come back?
Look at your post #48, you picked up that it was more than just the training.
I reported this before I left and was told that these things happen and it can't be the first time I have experienced this. I have kept a diary of events and can raise a grievance but I know if I do that going back will be so difficult.0 -

My manager doesn't care, she's too busy strutting around the office and turns a blind eye to everything that goes on in her department. She's not bothered about my performance but is happy to pick on me in meetings knowing full well I don't know what I'm talking about.0 -
Don't just make snide comments say who you are referring to.
I'm not entering into a forum battle, I stand by the comments I made.RichardD1970 wrote: »I don't think anyone here post under the guise of a qualified lawyer
Oh but they do, many people including me are bystanders with this forum, many people may have legit employer issues, when searching for advice, some of the replies on here indicate the reply is the law.
It's for the those who specialise in employer law, that includes solicitors, barristers, & even judges to determine whether the law has been breached.
Anyone with employee/ employer related issues should seek independent advice from a specialist in employment law, most offer a free 1/2hr session,I notice that comment is not on anyone's signature.
They post quoting what is they believe is the law based on their "knowledge" without qualifying in that profession.
Some of the advice may well be correct, however, the advice posted has the option to be challenged by any defence lawyer, clearly, their posting on the assumption / under the disguise "what they say is correct"
It's worth pointing out, some of the members who do post on here looking for advice have clear anxiety issues with the relevant issues they are experiencing, it's not easy to think logically when faced with such challenges, again, some of the regular posters think it's fun to point out what errors posters have made within their thread.
Those who like to be confrontational with their replies, good luck to you, thankfully, there are many experts "qualified" in employment law who offer a whole lot more empathy.
And for those bystanders reading this or any replies from the regular posters, yes, read their advice, but make sure you obtain an opinion from someone much more qualified than those on here.0 -

Well said :T0 -
If you don't think Page 1 is hostile try reading it again - it was like Piranhas or a mugging - honestly
With the benefit of hindsight.Honestly? She's made 20 posts on this issue yet it took 11 before mentioning that she is a member of a Union, though still silent as to when she first sought advice from them, and it was post 18 before she brought up (alleged/perceived) issues regarding her faith.

Sorry this thread is clearly a wind up. No one in this position would lead with snappiness and not religious discrimination.
It’s all made up, or the religious aspect has been made up and thrown in later to try and look like we don’t know what we’re talking about. It’s like saying ‘can my boss sack me because I was late for work every day?’
Oh well I was late because he threw rocks at me everyday whilst calling me racial slurs and told security to block my path...
Total baloney.0 -

Those kind of trolls tend to wind people, light the blue touch paper, the retreat to watch their handwork. Nope, non of that here.
I think the OP has been treated shockingly here, and frankly some people really should look at how they write things, because they may well be exactly right in the advice they give but do they have to be so damn nasty in how they phrase things. It's like they take pleasure in upsetting people.
OP, my advice for what its worth is......put the culprits that do this on Ignore, while you may miss out on their advice, mainly someone will come along and give you the advice without the need to make you feel less than 10 inches tall.
Shocking from full grown adults to be fair, you'd think it was a playground.,Fully paid up member of the ignore button club.If it walks like a Duck, quacks like a Duck, it's a Duck.0 -

Those who like to be confrontational with their replies, good luck to you, thankfully, there are many experts "qualified" in employment law who offer a whole lot more empathy. and you’re suggesting that they use this ‘free’ half hour so someone can pay then on their back and say it’ll be ok?!

This is no joke, but you are. You sound very much like the nasty people at work. Why would I make this up? you have issues if you think this is a joking matter, shame on you. I hope you are never treated this way.0
