I won't be taking signature advice from people who don't follow their own advice! And I have no idea whether the OP is genuine or not. I don't really care that much either way. They don't like advice that doesn't suit them, and some people who never post here and have absolutely no knowledge of the world of employment law have told them to ignore the advice they are getting.

So I'm providing the OP, if this is genuine, with one final warning. Play the race card and the answer to your question "will I be sacked for long term sickness" will change. From yes it could happen, to almost certainly. You've told your managers and occupational health for four months that the problem is lack of training and not being able to do your job, and asked for another job for that reason. And now you are many months later claiming racial discrimination that your have never even mentioned before having already had at least four months off sick and potentially facing dismissal for long term sickness.

If you genuinely can't see why that is being questioned, or why, then you need to wake up and smell the daisies. And if you think that our tones are not what you might like, just wait until you meet the employers barrister. We are warning you, like it or not, that you started off in a hole and are busy digging it deeper. Unless you have evidence, do not go down this route. Because it will get worse.

Not accurate, which corresponds with the majority of your replies.

If you're going to quote, please quote with accuracy, I advised ignore the advice from "unqualified" internet lawyers on here, always seek professional advice from those who've invested in their chosen profession.

It's concerning, many viewers to this forum, may give up pursuing a potential ET claim based on the advice posted on here from unqualified individuals.

Perhaps you would like to explain your qualification to judge Sangie's advice?

Maybe being "snapped" at is easier to defend rather than openly religious discrimination

What "openly religious discrimination "? She hasn't raised a grievance with her employer so, until she does, there has been no "discrimination".

I suspect this thread is really about trying to get even for some long ago lost argument on the internet and people are trying to goad long standing contributors to bite and get themselves PPRd.

    Poor attempt.

, may God help you, .

Since I posted on here, I'll ask you not invoke your delusions on my behalf.
You've received some support on here, therefore, it's not an awful place.

What makes it hostile are some members being a little bit above their pay scale :rotfl::rotfl:

So you are complaining about people not being nice and hostile, by being not nice and hostile.....

Having spent time managing people for over 30 years and having been at an employment tribunal, I cannot work out how it would be easier to defend being snapped at over open religious discrimination. That shouldn't need explaining.

And sangie is right, don't like people's tone here, an employment barrister is a cross between a cat playing with a mouse and a medieval torturer with toothache.

Correct, why don't you have a disclaimer to that effect on your signature? because by definition of an anonymous forum my advice is only that; advice. I cannot prove my qualification or identity anyway. And it would be impractical to do so

Trial by jury, ETs don't have a jury, they have a panel just to be clear, I was speaking broadly on the law. Magistrates; who are lay people, decide guilt and account for 90% if criminal truals. Specifically to ET, yes there is a single judge, or a panel. The two members either side are not necessarily legally qualified judges.

From your many replies on here, including your most recent replies in red to my post, I get the impression you're annoyed with yourself not choosing law as a profession absolutely not. I had the option of a law degree; but had no desire to be a solicitor or a barrister. I’d rather create the law; with my politics degree...

I stand by my statement, don't reply on the comments posted by regular members as being the law, it's their "opinion" and only "opinion"

Of course, given their replies, the regulars would have you believe they are qualified in law!! hence, why they don't have a disclaimer on their signature.

You are missing the most pertinent point. Me not having the qualifications of your choosing is moot. If I’m wrong correct me.

    Banned for being wrong...?
  • Hi Samsung

Jokes were made about my head scarf and my faith. My employer allows us to go for breaks to pray (I make up the time ofcourse) but certain people had issues with this.

I was left out of events after work, I was kept out of the social circle completely.

Missed out during tea rounds, despite me offering to get everyone a drink

Only my opinion..making jokes about your head scarf and people having issues with your praying is unacceptable,i have several Muslim guards working for me/with me and i always make an effort to allow them to pray (they choose not to) or try and be flexible around Ramada so offer night shifts where i can,so they can sleep during the fasting time.

Being left out of social circle id say is nothing to do with bullying, but simply a personal choice they have made and one that needs to be respected,we cant dictate who likes us or insist in being included in activities out side of work.

As for the tea rounds..sounds as if they are being petty but thats all id say it was and personally just ignore that and make your own.

It does sound like bridges need to be repaired.
