IF I HAD THE ADDRESS AND THE HEAD OF THE COMPLAINTS TEAMS NAME I WOULD WRITE THEM A LETTER AS YOU ALL SUGGEST BUT i EXPECT TO BE GIVEN THE RUN AROUND AND NOT TREATED FAIRLY AND COMPASSIONATELY AS MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE DICTATES.

I WONDER IF ANY OF THE PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM HAVE HAD BAD EXPERIENCES FROM EON ?
I THINK IT'S TELLING THAT THEY HAVE NOT SEEN FIT TO PUT UP ON THIS SITE A LEGAL CONTRACT THAT THEY OBVIOUSLY THINK THEY HAVE WITH ME. WHAT DOES THAT TELL ALL OF YOU ?!

    Eon = spit!!!

in this case , chacing me for a debt incurred by others 6 yrs ago https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=5884390

I spent time collecting documents to show I had left the property , and in fact opened an account with them at the new house , there reply

    "perhaps you had 2 houses"

the ironic thing is that they were pre pay meters , ie, pay for electric at local shop then insert key in meter , no monies paid = no electric

sorry for going off on a tangent , but those stupid !!!!!!s caused me pain,

Rich WH - whatever your personal feelings you have a duty to all those who are supporting your social enterprise. You have to manage the business and that sometimes means talking to some people you don't like.

    Write that letter !
Never pay on an estimated bill

I have written to them and explained the problems but so far no reply.
A very nice gentleman came to see us about 2 weeks ago he looked like an ex prize fighter with a badly broken nose etc and I explained that despite us not having a contract at our new address with EON they would not leave us alone and continually bullied and harassed us and that all we wonted was for EON to allow us to appoint a new supplier at our new address.
He spoke to his office and then left and as I say he was a really nice person and very understanding and probably employed for his confrontational appearance.
While he was here I phoned his office and spoke to a guy who just didn't want to help as he is probably told not to believe what anyone tells him, but this is not his fault as he has to keep his masters happy to keep his job.
I said that it would probably be best that they take me to court as they believe I owe them money, which I don't and that I could prove in court that I was not at these premises when they said I was and that they had not got a contract with me for the premises that I occupy.
I have now received a letter dated the 23 of November saying that they are applying for a WARRANT OF ENTRY to disconnect the electricity supply at my new address despite the fact that they do not have my new address but only the site it is situated on { all sites have a number} and have no evidence of an existing contract with me !
My only worry now is will the magistrates contract me so that I can have my day in court or will EON just turn up with a warrant without me knowing about it as I have read happens to a huge number of people?

Ignoring problems doesn't make them go away.

Depends if you ignore them for 7 years or not

You can be in debt with prepayment meters.. I see huge debts placed on a prepay meter. My record is £9k and £2k debts are quite common. These are debts loaded onto the meter for the occupier to pay weekly over many years in some cases , because of non payment of a former credit meter debt .
Smaller debts can accrue with non payment of daily standing charges which are paid weekly on prepays.Eons are around £100 a year. If someone does nt credit the meter often enough then the standing charges can build up.
As a meter reader its not uncommon to see a few hundred quid owed in standing charges, which displays on screen A on the electric meter and the first screen on the gas meter.

Suppliers will not be disconnecting a domestic property. That is an extremely rare thing in the UK. Different story with a business supply. That can certainly be disconnected. They can just turn up with a warrant and a locksmith ( which they bill you approx £300 for ) and will cut off the unit even if no one is present..The best thing is to start discussing the problem with the supplier.
Suppliers do not want a court case, its too expensive. The normal procedure is just to apply for a number of warrants all on the same day. Any objectors have to turn up to give the Magistrate a reason why the warrant should not be issued

If this goes to court I think someone else should represent your organisation - you appear to be too emotional.

Stick to the facts - copies of leases, names of previous tenants etc.

All i want is to be able to challenge them in court.
I have read a few times now of e.on turning up at business premises with a warrant of entry to disconnect, that the owners know nothing about and have not had the opportunity to challenge.
If i had known that the premises i moved into in october were being serviced by e.on i would not have moved in, all i wont is to move the supply to an honorable supplier and never ever have anything to do with these people again.
Does anyone know how to make sure we get to hear of a court hearing ?

I have got a date for the hearing now of the 18th of this month which was in our letterbox when we turned up this morning!!! Goodness know how I will have time to prepare for this as they seem to have sneaked this in as they know most company's will be away on a Christmas break?
Does anyone know how to get this heard at a local court as it is so far away that I am very worried about not being close to my wife as she has terminal cancer and I obviously have to be close by if she takes a turn for the worst

I have just noticed the 7 years comment!?
We were with them for a long time on the same site as we are now but at a different address on this site. We payed all our bills without quibble even though we often seemed to have to pay the same bill twice just to get them to leave us alone.
I don't know if you have ever dealt with them but they never stop phoning or sending letters [ they must have used a whole forest up on us! ]
All we want is for them to leave us alone so we can appoint a new supplier at our new address.
But it seems that as they have got away with bullying us into paying them whenever they asked us to that they don't want to let us go.
