I’ve posted this in debt free but thought worthy here too I had used the claims guys to successfully claim me over £2000 of poi so thought I would have a crack for Mr Lender whom I had over £5000 of loans over a 3 year period I’ve several emails of non payment etc and they did out a financial strain on my livelihood. The claim was started in November 2018 and I completed all needed paperwork, I telephoned for an update in February and nothing so called again today to be told they no longer deal with mr Lender and they PDL finance who are the parent have gone into administration , on looking at the website and a google search I don’t find this true at a so I’m tempted to name a complaint to the watchdog I have now started my own claim with mr Lender so we shall see how it goes. # don’t trust claims guys1

Are loans off 118 118 money included in this as payday loans? As I feel they are a bit dodgy.0

Going back to the comment about ‘delay tactics’... seriously? It would cause a considerable delay to merely resend an email from a recognised email address?
There are a number of well documented issues with resolver, they regularly use incorrect email addresses when ‘sending’ your complaint and the information often comes through incorrect (dates of birth and address not showing properly or just completely wrong) meaning the company cannot safely verify you as a customer.
Seriously no big conspiracy, especially as delays mean increase stat interest payouts if they have to uphold the complaint!0 -

Were the payday lenders you complained to happy to resolve your complaints via Resolver or did you have to Email them from your registered Email address?
Only 1 of the payday lenders I contacted through Resolver had an automated reply saying the Email address was incorrect for complaints.
Based on my own experience with payday lenders, they try it on anyway they can. Im sure they're more interested in getting out of paying out a reclaim amount rather than looking to pay us out quicker to reduce the interest amount!0 -
I have never used Resolver... it is a god awful useless tool!
I have however worked for the FOS for the past decade and have seen first hand the oh so many problems with resolver - as with PPI people are clearly jumping on a band wagon with payday lenders (this is very clear from the recent rise in complaints - even though payday lenders have been around for a decade or so).
Still don’t see how making someone send an email from a verified address is somehow going to magically absolve them of dealing with the complaint.0 -
The other problem with these delay tactics is that we don’t want the lender going bust mid claim and end up not being able to get any of the money back.
Good luck all.0 -
Wow how big was your claim that you think a company needs to delay your complaint by a few mins so they can go bust haha0

I’m not sure how you’re confused by this.0

Hi Folks
Quick question, can claiming against a defaulted but time barred pay day loan bring it back to being unbarred so to speak? been looking through my credit file and see i have a few that were defaulted but have now ended. is it better to let sleeping dogs lie?
Many thanks in advance0
