For anyone chasing QuickQuid, you might be happy... or sad... to know they have folded. If anyone on the thread has already said so then apologies for churning old news...

  • Hi @glennstar

Thanks for the heads up, I guess I will accept the offer ASAP to avoid losing out more so!
  • Now had my repayment from Lending Stream so thought I would use the excellent Resolver tool to fight 8 other companies..

Interestingly My Jar who rejected my claim a year ago (that I brought through a 3rd party and would have had to pay out 30% of any award) I revisited this claim 2 weeks ago and they have responded and offered me £1130 which is £1130 more than I was expecting from them!!

So anyone still fighting, you have to keep fighting and even go back over claims that were rejected, either directly or through the Ombudsman.

    Hi,
Firstly check if you can make a claim and then Get the facts on how many loans you took and when.
Make your case for unaffordability and the send an email to each lender and wait for some weeks to get a reply.

A big howdy to all our Yankee spammers today.
  • Following up on Glennstar's post, if you have a ongoing complaint or agreed (but unpaid settlement) with QuickQuid (Cash EuroNet) its worth going on their site! (Can't post a link due to new poster restrictions)

Unfortunately it looks like any monies due will be significantly lower than expected, with payments not likely for another year.

Very frustrating! Only just confirmed my bank details with them on an agreed final offer two days before the announcement after nearly two years going through the complaints system.
  • I have made a compliant to satsuma loans using the resolver tool. We had a letter today asking for a 3rd party consent... please can you tell me is this the route I follow to proceed with our complaint. A very newbie to this forum. Many thanks in anticipation. :)

  • Hi newbie here so sorry if posting in wrong area. I had a payday loan with on stride financial and now been getting letters from arc Europe Ltd threatening to apply for a court order and showing it would nearly double my debt if this happens. I have tried to add them to my debt management plan but they said no I cannot afford to pay this back in one go as the dmp killing my finances atm and I'm wondering can they actually take me to court for a debt which originally was 300 now upto nearly 400 with interest that was added from onstride before being sold on. Yes, they can.
  • Hi ,
I am wondering if someone could advise if there is anyone who could help with loans pre 2007 ? I have recently begun to help my parents with their debts due to illness - shockingly I have found that it has stemmed from just under 80 loans from provident starting back in 1997 . My mother alone has taken £27000 in loans with interest on top of just under £18000 😩. The loans are taken to pay off the previous and sometimes she has 4 or 5 open at one time . She has never had an income so I don’t know how they have thought this affordable . Anyhow the loans stopped in 2006 and she finally give up and the balances were transferred to a debt management company . She has made token payments since and has never been aware of the fact this was wrong And she should never have been borrowed the money . I can complain direct to Provident but due to the timescales I am wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation to see if there is any hope they will review it ? I mean the interest is shocking , I feel sick to think they have paid it and struggled . But even if they didn’t get it baxk or any 8 percent interest I would seriously like to try to get them to wipe the balance with the debt management company .

    Thank you in advance
    Natalie
