Now had my repayment from Lending Stream so thought I would use the excellent Resolver tool to fight 8 other companies..
Interestingly My Jar who rejected my claim a year ago (that I brought through a 3rd party and would have had to pay out 30% of any award) I revisited this claim 2 weeks ago and they have responded and offered me £1130 which is £1130 more than I was expecting from them!!
So anyone still fighting, you have to keep fighting and even go back over claims that were rejected, either directly or through the Ombudsman..0 -
Quick question, can you use the resolver tool and make a compliant while you still have active loans with these companies? Is there any risk they could demand immediate repayment of the outstanding balances if it is found that they did lend irresponsibly?
Thank you0 -
*complaint not compliant0

You can complain at any time, but make sure you do it direct and not via Resolver., to save delays and confusion.
The loan won't be called in if you are keeping up with repayments.0 -
Thank you, that’s helpful0

Hello all,
After 1 year of persistance in claiming against Quick Quid through Resolver and going all the way through to the Financial Ombudsman (FO) i have received an offer. However, i not that satisfied about it even though the FO says it meets the recommendations set out to Quick Quid. I guess i am really after some opinions and knowledge on how the figures were worked out so i may understand why the number is what it is. I thank you in advance of your views/insight/understanding!
Loan history detail offer is based upon loans 3-7 only:
Loan 3 - Loan Date: 14/02/2011- Loan repayment date: 26/02/2011 - Loan Amount: £100 - Loan repayment: £125
Loan 4 - Loan Date: 21/03/201 - Loan repayment date: 01/04/2011 - Loan Amount: £100 - Loan repayment: £125
Loan 5 - Loan Date: 04/04/2011 - Loan repayment date: 28/04/2011 - Loan amount: £100 - Loan repayment: £122.50
Loan 6 - Loan Date 02/05/2011- Loan repayment date: 30/09/2011 - Loan amount: £100 - Loan repayment: £122.50
Loan 7 - Loan Date: 14/11/2011 - Loan repayment date: loan sold - Loan amount: £250 - Loan repayment: £312.50
The breakdown of the offer is as follows:
• Refund all interest and charges paid on loans 3 to 7: £167.50
• Add interest to the above payable at 8% a year “simple” from the date any interest and/or charges were incurred to the date of payment: £110.66
• Less 20% tax deduction: £22.13
• Less debt written-off and any previous settlement payments: £147.91
• Remove any negative information regarding the upheld loans from your credit file, and remove all entries in relation to loan 7 entirely
Amount to be paid to you £108.12
Taking everything into consideration, the offer is in line with my recommendation, so I think this is a fair offer. Casheuronet have said that they will be in contact with PRA Group regarding the outstanding balance that was transferred. They have said that if you made any payments to PRA Group in relation to the outstanding balance then the settlement amount (above) will be amended.
Please advise - I greatly appreciate your thoughts.0 -
Thankyou for that information, I will follow the link to the other forum. The question of mental capacity has come up and there seems to be some uncertainty around it. Especially when the informal assessment seems to have been made at a point in time much later than when a lot of the actions took place.0

Looking for help if possible?
I had continual payday loans from 2008-2014 however the company was a small independant shop in my town. I am not sure if it's still trading as it was a cheque cashing centre. They did give me an Id card to use when I went in that is detailed as cash centres Ltd 46 brook street Chester- I assume this was a head office address but I cant seem to find any info on this company.
Can I still make a claim myself or will it be easier to use a company with it being hard to find info about them.
Thanks

The FCA states that the above might be Cash Centres belonging to Instant Cash Loans.
Make a claim yourself if possible. Using an ambulance chaser fuels a faux industry that ultimately penalises the people who really need help. The views expressed here are my own.
