The area isn't a restricted zone, its next to a restricted zone. Use this as your argument. It just won my case for me. Don't give up!!

This was a key part of my argument, but disregarded by the DJ
  • Thanks for this Coupon_Mad, much appreciated, especially with the benefits of a few months of reflection I've had.

I went in there fully up for an argument, and despite it transpiring in such a way that flummoxed me a little, I didn't fail to mention the right of audience issue through a lack of aggression or confidence - it just seemed like there was literally no oportunity for me to being it up before we got into the case.

I think the key issue was that I was unaware of the tone of the whole setting, and where the limits lie in a small case like this regarding a defendant's ability to interupt, direct the conversation or disagree, without !!!!ing off the DJ, who from my experience seemed to have the freedom to make judgements very much based on their initial reactions, sympathies or impressions of the defendant. I think not understanding what I could and couldn't get away with disagreeing with her about ultimatley lost me the case - worthwhile knowing for anyone else thinking of taking on VCS etc in court.
