Hi
I'm at £129.87 /£125 (half month as only started on 15 November and including £30 worth of takeaways) and likely to spend another £5-10 before 1 December realistically. I've learnt that I do many shops (9 in 14 days), partly as I tend to buy only as much as I can carry while pushing a pram and as we buy bread, milk and fruit as and when we run out! Overall though I think it's not as bad as I feared although there are lots of ways we can save in future (shopping more at Aldi / Lidl, cooking soups instead of buying tins etc).Nov 18 Grocery Challenge (started 15.11.18 - target is half a month) £143.69/£125 -overspend £18.69
Dec 18 Grocery Challenge (started 1.12.18) £148.57 /£2500 -
£4.89 spent since last post.
200g spinach, 400g loaf of GF vegan bread, 2 litres lemonade, 250g double Gloucester cheese and a 6 pack of McCoy steak crisps.
I'm having vegetable curry for dinner, it was made in the multi cooker yesterday.
OH will be at his parents for dinner.
£189.38/£200.
£10.62 left.
Won't declare for the month yet as we're likely to shop on Friday for a few bits.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -
I spent £23.60 on Saturday, including food for Roast chicken Sunday lunch. I have not had to buy anything else since, as I have been eating left overs. I am planning not to spend any more until the weekend, so will post again in December.

My Sainsbury shop came to £41.77 and last night I think I spent £4.08 inwork (will amend when it comes out of my bank).
So, I will add to sig and declare total hopefully on Friday; or at some point over the weekend.
Edited to add I forgot I went to Morrisons after the vets, and got two soya milk and a courgette which i think was £1.93. Will also add this when I find the works spend.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £134.25/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. I’ve got the same dilemma Graciefields, I used to add any savings to mortgage overpayments but feel like I should put it towards something else now... Just not sure what
Just a few small spends this week so might just make it. Also found a little stash of Tesco vouchers in the kitchen so will get a Friday treat with those :j0 -
Been checking out my budget for the year, some months great, some way over, think this is in some ways attributable to the dog food I buy 3 sacks to get free delivery and this will last 4 months, but that is £50 ish from that months budget, also I am a stockpiler, I will buy in bulk items used regularly when a good price, totally lost track November, don`t think grocery over by too much, but bought a few bits Black Friday, I am easily seduced by the latest must have gadget, so will see out 2018 probably under grocery budget for December as Christmas dinner already sorted.
I will be switching to an annual budget 2019 to take account of my stock buys, and as I am 68 Boxing Day there is not a lot I need/have space for, so 2019 is the year of clearing my home and mind.Do I need it or just want it.0 -
Am declaring at £102/120 this month :j Batch cooking has deffo helped me stay on target
Can I have a £150 target for Dec please? Don't really do Xmas food as such, but will be treating myself to nice cheeses, nuts etc:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Works spend was £4.08, which I have added and the Morrison's shop was £1.98 not £1.93, so just this spend to add.
I have no spends planned for tomorrow. So hopefully that is it for the month.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £134.25/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. My first time doing the grocery challenge. I averaged the past few months supermarket spends to give myself a goal of £500. Surprisingly I have spent under this, although I have spend a lot more on food outlets than usual due to a meal out (Harvester with 50% off mains voucher) and buying food at work. I change work locations next week so will be back to packed lunches and there probably won't be any opportunity for meals out in December. I also removed non-food/grocery purchases (such as Christmas presents) from my totals.
Final £435.59/£500 (or £506.72/£500 if I include other food outlets).Debt Free: 01/01/2020
Mortgage: 11/09/20240
