  • I've always found waving my sexual organs worked for me, and so much more effective than buying a new dress that no-one would notice anyway!

very little as I hate buying clothes as I have such a problem getting stuff to fit I have lymphedema in my right arm so its twice the size of my left one which makes it very hard to find clothes that fit I have to buy stuff two sizes bigger or wear short sleeved tee shirts most of the time I am dreading this year as my winter coat really does need replacing. Most coats I see in the high street their sleeves are too narrow to accommodate my arm

So apart from underwear or shoes I rarely buy much at all There is a huge gap in the market which no one seems to have filled Lots of ladies who like me have had surgery which left them with problems with their arms are just not catered for I did once speak to someone at M&S and she was very sympathetic but said there was little she could do I am seriously thinking of having to get a coat actually tailor made and god knows how much that would cost

I got a cloak tailor made, sleeveless but with a half cape over the top (I wasn't able to wear coats because of crutches!)

  • Oh I'd love to be tall and elegant enough to wear a cape, unfortunately I'm short and squat and even a hat can make me look like an ambulatory mushroom.

Gave my DH one of those as a wedding present:D He looks great in it. Particularly with full Highland White Tie regalia. Oooh. Talking of which, I get to see him in that next Monday. He gets all the compliments - I’ll just be in a LBD (long not little):D One of the few male get-ups where their outfit costs more than the female equivalent.

    I love a good kilt I do

  • I've bought three pairs of black jeans this year and a reduced top from a garden centre, today I got a pair of black sketchers lace up shoes from the retail outlet at half price, think that will be it until something else wears out. I've got comfortable and scruffy off to a fine art and find it takes me most places without comment from others!

Trust you lot to lower the tone of the thread! Mind you, some of the sums of money mentioned sound obscene when you consider many people in this world struggle to pay for their basic needs.
