It can be as little as 3 months - I have come across it. ESA50 returned in July, ESA decision letter received August, new ESA50 received in October (and confirmed by DWP upon enquiry not to be an error).Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -

I've just received my ESA50 so it'll be 12 months for me. I'm still waiting for a tribunal date (26 weeks so far), I'll probably have my assessment date before the tribunal date.0

I was placed in Support Group ESA in March 2014 with a recommendation to be contacted for a review in 24 months.
Still haven't been contacted but I won't be contacting them.0 -
I was on esa in support group for 3 years, im sure i had 2 year awards but i was reassessed every year.
It seems pointless at time that they give you a longer award but reassess you long before its up. I understand things can change (and in my case they eventually did and i got off it and back to work) but some people do have life long illnesses that will never ever improve and i feel bad for those people that they are always getting reassessed. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. When I won my last appeal in 2015, the ruling stated I shouldn't be assessed for 2 years, but I only got my forms this year - a year late.
I returned them in August - 2 months ago yesterday actually, and I still haven't heard anything about an actual appointment date.0 -
There is still a backlog in some areas, dating back to when ATOS quit.
My last but one WCA was over a year late, however the latest one happened bang on time. Less than two months from recieving forms to attending the medical.0 -
Last ESA was six years ago, or was it five anyway it's been a while.0
