  • Will certainly fill in the consultation and have already written to my MP.

D P Dance - as cross as I am about the wasted time I'm not sure I have the stomach for this.  Any idea what the success rate like?!

Sorry no idea at all  .  Burt I do know that a letter LBC is free.. There is no obligation to actually issue a claim.

I agree. Threat and hassle can be a two-way street. Give Walt a taste of his own medicine, ask for your costs or you will sue. The CAB website has a sample LBC to use - and as @D_P_Dance says, it's free and doesn't need to be followed through to an actual making of the claim. It's how the private parking industry operates!

Not just the consultation, but there are only 5 full days left to do it...  Spread the word!

Also, I hope you've also registered for the Group Action, against the DVLA (open to anyone with a PCN since 2018?).  Gotta be in it to win it!  Nothing to lose, and it's genuine.

Read the threads about those important matters, they both need doing, right now, this week.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Thanks for this - I had missed the group action.  The website says have you been issued with a fine within the last two years which would rule me out.  Mine was in Oct 2018.

But if you commence the process of completing their online pro forma, it also includes 2018. Go for it.

    EDIT TO ADD

I've just rechecked and it seems the earliest date in 2018 is December, nothing before that.
