NTC Parking Charge.

  • Okay. I reported the matter the 30th of September 2019. I received an email on the 4th of December were they stated:

"We have received a number of reports in addition to yours about the way the firm deals with the recovery of its client’s debts.   We have previously investigated these concerns, including whether the firm is recovering debts that are legitimately owed, and whether its practices are taking unfair advantage of those who had allegedly parked in breach of car park terms and conditions".

So if anyone out there is having a similar issue. Report the solicitor!

Now for the life of me I cannot find the letter I received after that from the SRA saying that the case has been referred to a Investigations Officer as they believe that my claim has merit. This is really annoying as I had it in my hand earlier today!

    Well done you!

I have my own, resident 'Norfolk Boi' and when I told him about your success his patriotic pride increased still further, if that is possible!

I have complained to the SRA several times, on each they have, (politely), told me to FOAD.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • That's outrageous D_P_Dance. I have checked online via the Money Claim Online Government Portal and there's no mention of the claim being discontinued.

I suspect events have overtaken many government offices and the folk at the MCOL centre haven't got round to updating the database.

Wouldn't it be funny if the court case was still on and you turned up with the discontinuance letter to hand?

I suggest you keep checking the website on a regular basis. There is little else you can do at the moment.

  • That is possible, but I don't trust them so have emailed them to confirm and also will, as you advise, checking the status of the claim via the MoneyGov website often.

  • Well BW Legal have confirmed via email and letter that the claim is discontinued and was on the 18th of March. According to the MoneyGov website. The claim is still live.

Oooohhh. Good news. BW Legal's client has, out the kindness of their heart, offered a 20% discount off the balance for the alleged balance owed according to BW Legal. That's very nice of.... Hang on. The claim was discontinued, as confirmed by the parking firm and the solicitors. Something fishy here lol.

You could 'phone them up and vaguely mention the 20% discount and that you would like more information. String them along a bit then ask them how much you are going to get after the discount, and how much they will pay you if you decide to turn down the discount offer. :D

One question I would like to ask. If the claim is discontinued, then where would any payment made go?
