BBC iPlayer

If I want to watch something like Bodyguard, how do I know how long it will be on the iPlayer for?

I don't want to start watching it and then find that they take if off before I finish.

Thanks

The bodyguard is on for another 5 months. If you go to the iplayer on a PC and hover over episode it tells you how long it's available for.

Thanks, I thought it used to tell you and couldn't understand why I couldn't see it any more.

It's strange that it doesn't say on Freeview Play and you have to go to a pc to check.

Different platforms work in different ways technical wise so iPlayer will operate and behave differently depending on whether you get to the iPlayer through the website, Sky, Now TV, a console or any other way of getting it.

iPlayer on Sky is totally different experience to iPlayer on Now TV for example.

Anyone having trouble viewing BBC iPlayer using Nord VPN
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

Is Nord reporting a UK endpoint?

Catch up services like Iplayer do update from time to time to improve their detection of VPNs.

I've just updated Nord, problem before and after updating.  It is from UK end point.
Problem with iPlayer and ITV Hub.

  • BBC TV iPlayer and ITV Hub both worked with CyberGhost this morning, however those servers aren’t listed this afternoon! What a faffing around. Used the BBC streaming setting for iPlayer and the Ch4 streaming setting for ITV Hub. It’s a cat and mouse game between the TV players and the VPN providers...

A lot less hassle to just not bother with TV.

Like any most streaming services BBC block known VPN's. Nord do have a forum/faq/whatever it is  which will tell you which one to use for the various services though. (it will be a specific onem, not just click UK and hope for it to work).
