Presumably the part that makes it really easy to return items.
What's really easy about having to go to a Delivery Office to print off a label that you could've printed in the convenience of your own home.

This is ideal for anybody that has not got access to a printer.

    Hermes/Ebay have started a similar service https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ebay-try-hermes-printerless-shipping-for-just-1-up-to-2kg-3058395

Well, I think the issue is that Post Offices are lot more common than delivery offices. It is usually easier to get to a Post Office.

Thanks guys. Had to take it to Royal Mail delivery office after Post Office refused it. Yes, they scanned the QR code and they printed off returns label.

    Don't like this new system!

You don't have to use it.

There's an option for having a delivery office print the address label based on a QR code on your phone & there's an option for printing the label yourself & taking it to a Post Office( or amazon locker or local shop)

Precisely, plus they tend to have opening hours that are more convenient than most delivery offices.

But it seems that the OP wasn't presented with that option, else I'd imagine it's exactly what he wanted to do.

So take it back via the Post Office instead. I'm not seeing a problem. If you don't have a printer or,like me a few weeks ago, its broken you have to traipse to the delivery office. Otherwise take it to the PO

    I assume you mean wasn't?

Its possible, or its possible they misread the description (I did the 1st time I saw it as an option and assumed you could do it at a PO not just the Delivery office) & ticked the wrong box.

Post Office is 7 mins walk but they couldn't scan the QR code, that's why I had to take the bus to Delivery Office 10 mins away from my home.

Yes, I did collect it from Post Office.

They was no returns address on the sheet (there was few months ago). They system has changed.
