  • Have you sent a SAR to PWE, as shown in post #2 of the NEWBIES thread, so that you have all the photos and can see their hand, so to speak, in case they get a robo-claim solicitor like Gladstones to sue next year (which you would defend with our help, and likely win)?
I did send a request for information to PWE very early on (2016), but it was in an email and not officially labelled as a SAR. What I asked for is outlined at the beginning of this post, so I guess my answer is no. Perhaps worth noting that PWE pretty much ignored everything from that request save for stating that there was 'clear signage', 'payment machines available' and 'the ability to pay up to 48hrs later online'.

Is it worth me sending a SAR to PWE now and, if so, should I let ZZPS know that I have sent such a request or just ignore their involvement completely?

    Just a SAR to PWE.

Forget ZZPS, they started as the joker in the pack ... and ... they still are the joker in the pack

Sorry, I thought the time to submit a SAR was after I'd received a LBC with a 30 days notice notification (as outlined in the 'Newbie' thread). I have received no such letter yet, just threatening legal action letters from ZZPS. If that's not a prerequisite I'll send a SAR now.

You can send a SAR at any time and it can be by email.   That was the first thing for you to do!

Append a copy of your V5C if you still own that car, or a utility bill, to prove you are the right data subject.

NOT YOUR PASSPORT OR DRIVING LICENCE, OBVIOUSLY (don't ask why not).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

A sar tells you info you need to know. Knowing it now helps you.

GDPR law arrived 2 years ago , since 2016 , it's also free , so make use of it because little will change in the next 2 years so the information reply is good enough , regardless of any LBC or court claim in the future , plus it confirms your current address is still valid , or you ensure they update their records under a data rectification notice to the DPO at PWE anyway

So multiple good reasons to email it to their DPO , no negatives
  • Thanks folks! I'm putting the SAR together now. Just so I'm clear, as well as personal information they hold about me, can I also ask for them to supply specific information about the alleged infringement i.e. photos from the car park, a record of whether the meter was working or not, etc.? I'm asking a) because I want to get this right from the off and get as much info from them as possible and b) because when I originally asked for this (though not as a SAR) they just ignored my request.
