1LL and DNMS - hope that you're both feeling better. Sounds all a bit scary DNMS...
I think the stress is finally getting to me. It doesn't now matter just how much sleep I get - I wake up feeling exhausted. I've overhauled my diet and am being a bit more active so think it's just anxiety etc catching up.
I managed a reasonably relaxing day yesterday - caught up with bestie as planned for a couple of hours, and I also finished crocheting a couple of hats as well. House is looking a bit better than it was.
Tried to have a lie in this morning, and failed so I've been up since 7 and am still doing a bit of tidying here and there. There's a load of washing in, I've washed dishes, hoovered and put the recycling out. I'm tutoring for a couple of hours and then visiting my mam later so plenty to keep me occupied.
    Have a good day everyone.

  • Thanks guys for your support. I think I'll make a GP appt tomorrow as it was frightening and isn't the first time something like this has happened.

Wanted to share my dog training success! I was recommended to look at Victoria Stilman site on dog training. I went out today and did the walking on leash training and it was a massive success! A bit annoying that you have to keep turning & walking the other way every time he pulls but it was water to wine! 90% of the time he was walking along calmly with us.

Went to the dog park and he met a few other older dogs who were calm and happy to interact with him and it was such a better experience than it has been since the incident with my neighbours pup :T

All in all counting that as a massive success! I think by the time we drop him back on Thurs he'll be lead trained :j

    Afternoon all :)
Hope all the poorlies feel better soon - there are some horrible things going around atm. Usually seems to coincide with the early weeks of a new school year! Hope you manage to get checked out soon DNMS :(

Went to a flea market this morning in the pouring rain  Luckily it was held inside, but mad or what! Really horrible weather, rain and high winds, sheets of water on the roads, but not nearly so bad as others are having. A friend in Camarthen posted some pictures of a nearby village on FB, and it looks awful :( Anyway, not much spent, and that came from business money.

Totally not MSE, but we decided to replace out ancient, temperamental and inaccurate satnav. Been putting it off for months, but I found a deal on Amazon this morning, and put £10 of gift cards earned from surveys towards it. Getting a Garmin this time, as they seem cheaper than the Tomtoms that we have had before.

I have decided to make pies this afternoon - I have made the pastry, currently resting in the fridge (it doesn't look as though it will behave well, I can just tell!) and apple and quince, and mince and mushroom pie fillings made. Just got to put them together and bake them now :) No prizes for guessing what will be for dinner later :DDone, made 4 apple and quince, and 2 larger minced beef, onion and mushroom pies :) Gave bro one of the apple pies to take home, one in fridge, and 2 frozen. Had most of one of the meat pies for dinner (fed 3, including OH and my brother, who are gannets, and there is still a portion left) and will have the other pie later in the week :)

Also made soup to use up cooked ham and chicken stock and assorted veg :)

    Other things:
Started a shopping list as I am starting to run out of staples again :(
I won't be going today though!
Must remember to look on the local food bank's FB page to see what they are particularly requesting atm. I usually donate about £5 worth at the beginning of each month, and haven't yet - October seems to be running away with itself

Repurposed a bag that came with bagels in it (OH is mad on those atm, for some reason) to put in rest of a YS TTD Mediterranean loaf, basically sun dried tomato bread, which we started for lunch, and whose own wrapping had split.
Need to sort out and label some items for my sales unit tomorrow.

Better finish coffee and get on with these pies!

Thanks Dawn I too haven't got round to putting anything in the foodbank box this month yet and hadn't thought of looking up to see what they actually needed. I normally just put in porridge, pasta and coffee. After reading your post I've looked them up on fb and porridge and pasta were two of the things they had listed as having plenty of. So I've now added some toiletries and squash this time :)

    I'm on a roll...

    * Made a batch of celery and shrapnel soup using mountain of chopped celery from the freezer. Blended with the smoothie maker.

    * Dinner was mince and shrapnel in pastry.

    * Triaged fridge and freezer.
