Morning all

Just managed to get GS to sleep. Not sure how long for, but as he was apparently up at 4.30 this morning, I hope he has a decent nap!
Not a very ambitious list today:
DD brought us 6 nice eggs from her chickens
Washing out on line, as it is forecast to be warm today
Dry now, it was in fact a lovely day, and I still don't have a cardigan on now!
Asked OH to put some stuff away in the garage Done
Check banks and update spreadsheet Done
RM surveys tasks Done
All food from stores - I have lots to use up in the fridge today, so don't intend to cook! Shattered, and sent OH for a takeaway
Walk with baby after lunch, he may need to nap again, especially if this one doesn't last long  Done
Write to elderly aunt Not done, on list for tomorrow!
Decide whether or not to renew a membership. Depends if we will use it enough to benefit! Haven't thought about this
Enjoy this coffee while I have the chance!
Baby was pretty exhausting this afternoon, and then GD was a bit tired and tearful after school
Fixed that with an ice lolly from the freezer! Baby, after grizzling for a good part of the afternoon, had the cheek to throw a complete wobbly when his mum came to pick him up, screaming and clinging to me as if .... he hadn't been playing me up all afternoon :rotfl: Anyway, I survived it, with the rotten cold, so all good, except for a fatty dinner and 2 glasses of wine  0 -
Morning all,
The sun is shining bright, makes such a difference to my mood.
Todays list
* Gym and refill water bottle there
* Brunch - fridge use up
omelette with lots of veggies
* See if the price of a uk half term break has gone down as I'd like to book it today so we have something nice to look forward too  price has gone up £60! So I've rung them as they've agreed to match the price I'd written down last Wed
Not telling the boys about the trip want it to be a surprise
* Wash 2 loads on quick wash and hang out to dry done
* Another module of free online course
* Clean kitchen using stardrops and washable cloths
* Check banking & update spreadsheet
* Cut grass once its dried a bit - probably the last cut of the year
Thats my starter, hopefully I'll be back to add more.
 Rm surveys prepped for next week
Spot cleaned the front room carpet - a cream carpet for a room the two boys use for their computers/gaming/watching tv etc isn't the best thing.
The weather was so nice when I cut the grass I decided to make the most of it and cleared the leaves off my drive then washed my car too Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Hello Frugal Friends,
Well, some really sad news to share - my Mum died yesterday after a long stressful time in hospital. I'm back home for a couple of days just to get some more clothes & stuff (& my head) together, before travelling back south to start making all the necessary arrangements & dealing with the legal stuff. So, I shan't be around on here with my usual contributions, because my daily task lists are going to be very much tied up with sorting out Mum's estate. I shall try to keep my DFW diary going, as that tends to be a bit more thoughts/ramblings based, but I shan't be up to my usual daily money-saving tricks on the home front. So, until things are back to normal, if you want to catch up with my remarkably unexciting life (!), pop across to my diary. I'm really hoping that my good money saving ways don't start falling by the wayside because I'm out of my routines. At least my diary should help with keeping me on the straight & narrow. I have no idea how long I will be living between two places, as I've never done all this before & my sister & I will have a house to clear & sell. All I can say is that it will be good to get back to normal after such a difficult summer. Thanks for all the nice supportive wishes I've read on here. Much appreciated.

Lots of love to you Foxgloves - so sorry to hear your sad news.
I'm sick. Not sure if it's viral, stress related or both but I feel quite rubbish. I'm just 'not right' - bit of a fuzzy head, bit nauseous, really tired. It's going round at our place but I am also on day 3 of not getting my lunch until well after lunchtime. So there are a couple of factors.
I've bagged another nsd which is brilliant news and other than that I'm working, catching up on here and having a very early night. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
