So even though it seems that if you don't accept the inevitable kicking dished out by the pedants that reside in the dark depths of this forum without calling them out on it you just get ignored,
You're not being deliberately ignored - but sometimes the people available to comment at the point at which the query is raised just don't have anything to add.

If there's no comment on the post, the thread slips rapidly off the first page and beyond. The board is frantically busy - since you posted your query on 10/10, there have been ~360 different cases being dealt with, all demanding attention, some extremely complicated, many at crucial 'approaching court hearing' stage.

There are no more than around 10 regular contributors in total - and since your query, we have lost (hopefully temporarily) Coupon-mad who is the board's most prolific poster and has wider allround experience (and stamina) to answer almost any kind of query. Others have less experience and/or less time to help anyone and everyone who suddenly drops in with urgent random (often multi-faceted) questions demanding 'silver bullet' answers.

Sometimes some of us can be grouchy, but just see and read the demands placed on so few - constantly. But we are all here to help, where we can, when we can, how we can. We are all volunteers giving totally of our time freely to help complete strangers with their problems, and demand nothing in return.

I do have to say that when I (and probably others too) see comments like
    Imbecile
being made to anyone, I tend to steer clear of the thread, because sooner or later there's the possibility that I too might tread on the wrong eggshell.

There we are - so in summation of the way things are - lots of pressure, massive volumes, complicated cases, huge demand, and very, very few of us.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Thanks for your response Umkomaas.

It’s not a question of stepping on an eggshells, it’s a question of jumping in unnecessarily to criticise. If someone does that, then they should be told so, otherwise they’ll continue to do so thinking that’s the right thing to do. If an individual thinks it’s ok to criticise others, then they should accept when that criticism is directed back at them. Obviously they cannot. Coupon mad gave some great advice, and I can see the myriad of useful advice that they’ve given elsewhere. The other poster’s farewell was appreciated.

My approach might not be in the spirit of the forum or to some people’s taste, but neither is unnecessary critism.
