How can that be a genuine letter before court action when it mentions debt collectors as an alternative.

Also, that letter threatens further costs if debt collectors are involved, which is unlawful. I would complain to Trading Standards and the BPA.

OP should complain to the BPA.

So that letter only gives 14 days and is not a proper LBC. I would serach the forum for something like '14 days immune pre-action protocol yours faithfully' to find responses to such drivel, and adapt one.

Should I email Armtrac first and ask the basis of the letter? Even confirmation of VRN?

No, not ''first'' - put it all into one letter or email.

What does your search as youve been told to do suggest you should do? That would be an obvious first step. Review with al info rather than guessing...

They're an IPC member - I've checked the IPC site, so the following with relevant details inserted? -

    Re PCN number:

I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement. There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn.

Since your PCN is a vague template, I require all photos taken, a clear image of the signage and an explanation of the allegation (e.g. if you have identified a wrong VRN input at a machine, say so, and explain why your Data Protection Officer has not simply rectified it, rather than trying to punish a driver for a matter where there is nothing to deter).

I will be making a formal complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner and to my MP, appraising all parties of the debate where Parliament agreed:
''we need to crack down on these rogue companies. They are an absolute disgrace to this country. Ordinary motorists...should not have to put up with this''. Firms of your ilk were unanimously condemned as operating an 'outrageous scam' (Hansard 2.2.18). The BPA & IPC were heavily criticised; hardly surprising for an industry where so-called AOS members admit to letting victims 'futilely go through the motions' of appeal and that 'we make it up most of the time' (BBC Watchdog).

    Formal note:
Should you later pursue this charge by way of litigation, note that service of any legal documents by email is expressly disallowed and you are not entitled to assume that the data in this dispute/appeal remains the current address for service.
    Yours faithfully,

    That's an appeal, not right.

I gave you the exact keywords to search for POSTS (not threads) that give you the right sort of reply to a dodgy fake LBC about 14 days to reply.

Use the keywords I gave you and find one written already.

Indeed, that suggests a blind copy and paste, not reading and understanding whats needed at this point.

Ok, I must be missing something here. The options are either search by quick search box at the top of the page, with 'this thread, this board, forum' as options, or undertake an advanced search by those key words, with no option to select just POSTS. None of these give a written already letter in the 13 posts that come up as far as I can see.

hmmmm, why would I be asking on a forum if I knew whats needed at this point?
