TheDirector wrote: »Yeah appeal sent in about three weeks ago. I think i have got confused because of multiple letters asking for drivers name, plus three notice of keepers, none of which mention final decision or popla. SO presumably despite the notice of keeper saying issue will be passed to debt recovery, they will actually formally decline the appeal and provide a popla code?
Well yes of course, as the silly letter begging for the driver's name, tells you!

You need to give us fats and not guess work here.
No they were all for the same ticket. There was one ticket, appeal was logged and then some time later over a period of a few weeks, multiple NTKs were recieved.
It is now two months on since I last posted and no letter or email has been sent formally indicating outcome of the appeal. There was an email acknolwdgement around the time of the online appeal I think asking for who the driver is, but I do not believe the outcome was ever communicated. Any thoughts? Thanks0 -
Send them a complaint and copy in Steve Clark, at the BPA:

what would i be complaining about? Multiple letters or not hearing back on a decision yet. There response to the appeal gives 14 days to provide further info otherwise final decision will be based on original information. The letter gives no indication of the timescale for making a final decision...0

The BPA CoP says they should reply with an OUTCOME of appeal within 35 days.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No, you will end up blabbing about who was driving and ruin the entire case.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You sound a little uncertain as to whether or not you've received a decision on the appeal. As you appealed online, the decision should come by email - have you checked your spam folder?
Don't delay sending your letter to the BPA though, but do check first.0 -

Yep, I never received a decision. I guess me sounding uncertain is just a reflection of how confusing their approach has been. Like I said, I did get the email letter acknowledging the appeal and asking for more info, but they never said when they would make a decision by, just that I had 14 days to respond. Then there were the multiple NTKs. Anyway, as said, I never got a final decision.
I did wonder if I should just leave it and see if they never get back in touch. But will take the advice from here and make a complaint.

Just about to send off the complaint. On the notice to keeper letters I got it says at the top that 'this parking charge supersedes.... which has been reissued'. The ref number at the top is different to the original one, presumably because they have reissued, which I imagine is because they realised they had put down the reg number wrong. So within the ntk they corrected the reg number and provided a new ref number. I have just tried today out of curiosity to log in with the new ref number and I can see the photos etc and there is the appeal option. Obviously the appeal has already been appealed three months ago and no final decision has been communicated and the NTKs do not reference a final decision. The whole thing is messy and whilst I wont go into detail about them getting the reg wrong I will highlight that within their NTKs they cited a new reference number. I would hope they didnt expect me to submit a new appeal just because they got the wrong reg number, particularly if they have not asked me to. ANyway will submit the complaint.0
