Help Needed - Wrong Reg Cannot Lot In
Comments
-
You seem to be suggesting that it is impossible for the driver and owner/keeper to talk to each other.
No, not worth doing that.
It is widely thought that some PPCs purposely misspell a VRM to encourage a response from the driver.
When the driver responds with something like "you got the reg no wrong. the car I was driving is..."
Bingo!! they now know the identity of the driver.
Ok that's clear. So an appeal will be submitted by post using the template provided. But out of interest, at which point will the wrong reg number become relavant i.e. will it help win the appeal at some stage?0 -
Just wondering though, given that the NTO had not been received, doesnt sending in an appeal indicate the owner was the driver i.e. otherwise how would the keeper know about the PCN unless they had found it on their car. In which case, maybe its worth seeing if they will ever send the NTO given they have slightly wrong reg.
You do not want that. So hook them into concentrating on the appeal, they will at some point notice the error but the longer the delay the better. Also is it worth pointing out in the appeal letter that the PCN does not atually have a reg no. that matches the car?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi unfortunately i have not posted my appeal letter and my 28 days is due to run out. I will have to submit online, but as said, they made an error on the reg so I would have to log in with the reg they have used which is not right. Should I go ahead and do this and submit the standard letter.
Reason for ticket was for parking outside of bay markings - from what I understand, there was something confusing about how the markings were done.
Also, they used wrong letter in the reg.0 -

Make sure you submit it as the keeper.

Hi,
After putting in an online appeal pretty close to day 28 the person has received an email with a letter attachment that says the following:
'Thank you for your recent correspondence in relation to the above parking charge.
In order to make a final decision regarding your appeal, please confirm the drivers full name and address to our
Appeals Department within fourteen days of the date of this letter.
Further correspondence may be sent by submitting another appeal on our website at https://www.ukpcappeals.co.uk, or
by post to the address overleaf. Please ensure that if sending evidence by post that you include the parking charge
reference number and vehicle registration.
Failure to provide this information will give us no alternative other than to make our final decision based on the
previous information received. At this stage a POPLA verification code will be provided.
The parking charge has been on hold whilst under appeal and may be settled in full at the reduced rate of £60.
PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS LETTER. UKPC REGULARLY TAKES MOTORISTS TO COURT WHO IGNORE
THEIR PARKING CHARGES. '
They still have not recieved a notice to keeper. Also the reg is still showing as incorrect on the letter they sent (it is out by one letter). Should the person resubmit an appeal? Or should they ignore it? I think in about 19 days time is when notice to keeper should be issued. ANy help appreciated.

But that's normal.
It's been quoted on hundreds of UKPC threads and is as expected. Instead of posting template stuff from the scammers, that we have no time to keep repeating the same old stuff about every day, please instead search the forum for two unusual words from it...you'll see!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
