If you have a Toby Carvery you can opt for a veg bag or a meat one (that comes with veg too) - veg bag is £1 cheaper (£2.29). I always think that’sa great idea, but have yet to try it.
That's interesting Vix, there's one near BF's (don't think they can be taking part at the minute though as it's never come up).

Off go do some Googling on cruffins, I just can't picture what they'd look like!

11 is super-exciting, hope the giddiness isn't what's upset her stomach!
    Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed

Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!
  • Lol, vix, she did not get her hands on my cruffin! She 'fessed up at lunchtime she'd eaten a whole unripe heap of blackberries on a bike ride with her dad last night so I think we have a cuplrit. I am seriously annoyed with myself for not sending her into school. She is clearly not sick and I can't believe I fell for this again after almost 11 years of parenthood.

Positives are that a Pr0lific flurry has sent my total up to £7.78. Blimey you have to be on it though. Sometimes a survey has literally just come up I've clicked on it straightaway and it's already full.

  • HG do an amazing sticky remover spray, which I’d highly recommend. It got sticker marks off our bath which had been there years and I’d tried loads of other stuff to remove. Sounds like you’re making great progress, it’s lovely hearing about it coming together!
  • Mmmm just looked up cruffin. My Eyes say yes but my tummy Says no

Oh you don’t have to be religious about - I’ve certainly had my ups and downs with surveys over the years, but it definitely helps long term!

Sorry to hear about the missing plumber!

Its really exciting and good that you found stairs in good condition! They should look lovely after you figure out how to remove the glue! There must be something on glue removal on YouTube maybe? Looks like you are making good progress with the renovations! With a second wave of Covid it’s nice for you to improve your living space as it’s now so important! So much stress out there and home is best at present!
DDs love shopping don’t they? That must have been a nice time out for the girls, and welldone for making it through the day!

  • I think tradesmen are overwhelmed with work right now, I know it's been impossible for me to get someone to help me with things in my flat. Well, I'm assuming that it's that and I didn't just scare them away... Hope you get it sorted soon.

Thanks @themadvix @Sistergold @killerpeaty for stopping by. Our PM is still away on holiday so not sure what the situation is with the plumber  everything's ground to a halt as no-one else can do anything 'til the first fix is done on the plumbing. But positives for the weekend:

    * Cleaned bathroom bedroom and extracted some humungous fluff balls from under the chests of drawers (i'm blaming the cats) which was very satisfying!  Fresh new line-dried sheets on bed, yum!
    * Regular Saver matured and proceed stashed in house fund (put in max £250/month and earned the princely sum of £52!)
    * DD loves her Trixie Mattel replica guitar and birthday lunch with her Dad and his partner went well :)
    * Sold another item of Gumtree: £15 for the house pot
    * Researched and ordered some leather balm for my prized notebook cover and it's now all lovely and soft and gorgeous
    * Food shopping done (took us over budget but should make it to payday). L1dl had packs of pretzels to bake from frozen YAAASSS!!!

    Happy sunny Sunday everyone :)

Sounding good, Hazelnutty - I do like the sound of leather balm for your notebook.
