  • I wonder how many veggie burger patties are 'cooked' on the same hotplate as the meat patties... Probably why they taste so good!

None are cooked on the same "hotplate" as the meat I believe.

Back in my day they were cooked in the vat for 3-4 minutes. It was the same vat as the fish (and things like cheese balls), but not the chicken.

    Great post.

I am longing for the time when something like this is the most important complaint I need to make! Unfortunately my life is too exciting at the moment.

As for Pret, having someone in the family that had an allergy, I did think their labelling policy was inadequate when I asked (but can see that it complies with the same law that is applicable to the local handmade sandwich shop). I regret not having written to the CEO when I read about the girl eating sesame that had been baked into the bread. I think I even raised that specific one at a shop even if may family member was not allergic to sesame.

Now I am very curious regarding the most recent topic around meat protein from milk and what type of compensation people are trying to get. I had no idea healthy people could die from meat proteins and be ok with non meat proteins?

How were you alerted to their labelling. Who knew?
