Cracks reappearing in all walls

Hi all,
I bought my 3 bed house in Dec 2017. All the walls had wallpaper so the property looked very appealing, neat and wow to me and my wife when we viewed the property. We did basic survey as we dint see anything wrong with the property. Everything was fine untill 8th July 2018 when we saw the wallpaper tearing off at two places in two different walls.. I immediately called a plasterer and he opened the wallpaper and we saw a long crack running from the wall.. and one by one all the walls started showing some sign of cracks so we striped the walls showing tears.. and to our surprise we saw many cracks under wallpaper some even filled earlier. So the plasterer hacked off the plaster from cracked walls and filled expanding foam then pva bondef , mesh stitched, Thistle bonded, plastered and skimmed some. But just in couple week one by one cracks started appearing again. He filled them with easy fill.. Still showed up again. One crack he even opened up again and mesh stitched it. But still cracked.. can anyone help me what could be the problem and how can it be solved.

I would get a proper structural survey if you believe your house has such significant movement.

What timescales are these cracks being filled then opening again?

Just taking a stab here. So during the hot drought cracks appear and you filled them in. Since then it has rained a bit, the ground has swollen, but now the wall or plaster has no where to move back too and other cracks are appearing?

if the bricks were cracked (knock out plaster form a patch on the wall to check), at lease he could have put helical steel wall ties in the wall every 2 or so bricks up to tie the wall together and epoxy them in place, rather than mesh across the plaster?

Another vote for structural survey though

Do you know the age and type of wall construction eg cavity or solid?
Is there any cracking visible on the exterior walls?

You can't directly. You need to upload them onto one of the free photo hosting sites.

Then you will find that this forum won't let you post the link as you're a new user. So add a space or two to the web address until this site doesn't realise it's an address.

Regular users will work out how to stitch it together again, and may even post the proper link for you.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Merely in just 2-3 days. First they will start with hairline cracks and then they widen up.

The outer walls are bricks, then cavity, then thermalite blocks and concrete plaster.

Any “builder” that used expanding foam in my house wouldn’t get asked back!

Do the cracks appear outside in the brickwork in the same positions?
