Just fell for this big time. My own fault was in a rush and had deleted my reminder so typed in tv licence and off i went. had NO confirmation email from them which then sounded the alarm bells. There suppose to inform the TVlicence people and of course haven't so now it looks like ill be £170 out of pocket through my own stupidity. Fingers well and truly burnt. There just making money out of people.

Sorry, should have posted this at the time. When the ASA passes complaints to the FCA, the complaints don't then generate any feedback to the complainant.
The licenceplus site doesn't look like it has changed at all since October, so either the complaint hasn't yet been dealt with, or the site is not problematic according to the FCA.0 -

In which case, contact the issuing bank and ask for their assistance in sorting it out. It should be possible to get them to "charge back" the transaction. Make it clear that you think you have been defrauded - that should get their attention.
You'll also need to bear in mind that TV Licensing themselves have a reputation for poor database practice - so it's possible that it is their error (or LicencePlus may claim this), rather than fraud.

thanks tv licence said its not fraudulent as the website is genuine.... i think they are aware of these guys as they mentioned other people have fallen for the same thing. im now waiting for the boss to come back from his lunch to sort it out (wont hold my breath there).0
