Car reversed in to me, driver claiming I drove in to them :S
Dear All,
Afternoon,
A few months ago, I vas driving along the isle in a car park. As I almost passed a car, the car reversed in to me, and crashed in to me.
The damage on my vehicle is on the rear left hand side, the rear left door, wheel arch, wheel, and side of the bumper. I was in motion.
I was following all rules and regulations of car park. The speed too. Car that hit in to me was not indicating. I was already passing the car as it reversed in to me. The witness confirms the driver that reversed in to me was not paying attention not checking mirrors, blind spots or anything.
I have a witness that confirms that I was not at fault, as the driver reversed in to me very fast and that they were driving badly before all this.
The person that reversed in to me has informed their insurance company that I drove in to them as they straightening up in the bay. The witness, in their statement confirms that I did not make contact, that the other driver (reversing).
PS. I have no damage on the front side of the car, just rear left side area.
What will happen?

Was the witness a passenger in your car or an independent witness? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Just noticed this happened months ago. Have your insurers not already sorted it out between them? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

The thing is they can claim aliens did it if they want. It's on the balance of probabilities.
It's far more likely that your version of events is true than their version. And you have a witness who confirms this. Sounds like a delaying tactic.0 -

If I had driven in to them would it not be that there is damage on the front of the car and on the side of their car?
I don't understand why people do this? What will the delaying do?0 -
Some people are idiots and will try it on regardless.
What has your insurance company said so far?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Maybe you should report this to the police, sounds like fraud to me. Speak to their insurance company an tell them you are thinking about involving the police.0 -

It’s a damage only RTC, the RTA has been complied with so no need to waste police time.0
