yes got the email, but there is something reassuring about having a piece of paper with ones name and account number on to put away in a box-file.
i suppose it does save a tree being cut down somewhere but this new paperless world i confess makes me a trifle uneasy.
I pay special attention to getting a screenshot of the step where it says "You application has been successful here is your application ref/account number".
If there is ever some form of query on an account I can dig out the memory stick (or the backup one), find the application and get the details from that.
The method of getting a screenshot varies according to the device you are using, but for example a windows laptop or PC usually involves pressing a key combination including the 'PrintScrn' button, and then saving the copied image into a jpg file. It usually only takes a few seconds to do."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
Now, like you I'd prefer a downloadable (at least) statement...
..but you can use the 'download transactions' or the 'print transactions' options on the rh side of your ac screen.
To save paper & ink I print to a ms pdf file format which should be an option in your print options.0 -

One of my fav facilities in win10 is you just hit 'print screen' and it saves a screen dump to your 'one drive' and dates and numbers it.
You can go in and rename it and/or save a copy elsewhere so its easy to find.. it is sooo convenient I use all the time.0 -
You can then worry about how secure your onedrive is.0

As I go through the online application process for financial products I take a screenshot of important information and save that onto a USB stick. I could print the information onto a piece of paper... but have you seen the price of ink these days.
It's annoying how few Web pages are 'print-friendly' these days, and so often using the 'print' option on a Web page just produces a complete dog's breakfast, even on pages that look perfect on-screen. Often the only way to get a readable output is to take a screenshot.0 -

I don't worry - when I get confirmation the account is processed I delete the screen dump.0 -

There is another way to produce a snapshot of portions of webpages. even better, in my view, than the typical screenshot function. The method is to use Microsoft's Edge browser. Within it there is a super function for dragging a 'cut' function over an area in order to paste it into a document.0 -

But how you do it is a secret?0 -
But how you do it is a secret?
No secret, but difficult to describe.
If you have Microsoft Edge browser:
1. Look to the top right of the browser, and you should see 4 symbols. The first is a star with three lines coming out of it, the second is a symbol that looks like a squiggle of the word 'On'.
2. If you click on the squiggle that looks like the word 'On' a bar appears with a set of symbols. These symbols are for highlighting, erasing etc. However, one of the symbols is a dotted square with a pair of scissors in it. It's this that you click on, and when you do click on it you will be able to drag over any area you want and when you release the mouse, whatever you have dragged over is copied. You then choose where to paste it, ie in Word, and hey presto, a perfect copy of whatever you dragged over appears there!0 -
