Since there was a difference of opinion, I’ve just called them and the definitive answer is :-No you can only have one Marcus account. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

Not according to CS though I haven't seen it stated anywhere myself
No that’s quite unusual - CS told me it was for security reasons ?!?!
With savings accounts there’s not normally a limit to the amount you can have unless of course it’s an ISA or regular saver.
I only asked because I linked my Marcus initially to my 123 and since changing to Lloyd’s as my main current account and downgrading my 123 to lite, it means me having to transfer money in and out of 123 lite to then pass it over to Marcus. The only other option is to change the linked account that involves downloading a form and then sending that off with a current account statement from the new account to get things swapped over and that’s a bit of a faff. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

I can see how that would be a problem. I suppose it's a matter of continuing faff vs one off faff0

It's Goldman Sachs - I reckon they will extend their retail offer in the future and hope they can come up with some decent interest rates for savers. It's only rock 'n' roll ...0

has anyone received any paperwork about opening their marcus account?
supposing the worst and it does indeed all go pear-shaped how would one go about proving they even had an account with them at all?
not that i'm worried, of course. definitely not.0 -
Did you not receive a welcome email from them when you opened the account?0

It's probably about as likely as Cardiff City winning the Premier League this season, but if you really are worried, you could always take a screenshot.
Also your nominated bank account will have a record of your transactions.0 -

yes got the email, but there is something reassuring about having a piece of paper with ones name and account number on to put away in a box-file.
i suppose it does save a tree being cut down somewhere but this new paperless world i confess makes me a trifle uneasy.0 -

i'm not sure about football but i still remember one year long ago a horse called foinaven won the grand national because all the others fell over. not quite the same odds admittedly
your point about the nominated bank account is a little more reassuring though. they at least do still send me nicely printed statements every month, though for how much longer is anyones guess. no doubt i will get a letter soon with words to the effect that "we have been listening to our customers and . . . "
curious that they never seem to listen to me
thank you0
