Just awaiting for the £500 to be paid and the interest of 5% of a balance of £1500 from April to December.0 -
Another update from my favourite adjudicator:
Dear Mr. Cotta,
Following your recent discusssion with FOS, TSB have been instructed to pay you the £500 compensation within the next 4 weeks.
Furthermore the Ombudsman's Manager will be calling you to discuss some of your concerns around how the process was managed.
Regards

And it arrived into my account this morning, £549.90 - what a saga that is finally over.0

Dusting down an old thread, but responding to another FOS one earlier on reminded me to see if the decision on this saga was published and for anyone interested in the FOS's version of events it's DRN4689385, published at https://www.ombudsman-decisions.org.uk/viewPDF.aspx?FileID=212260
Unless there's another long-suffering (ex-)TSB customer who suffered a remarkably similar experience, that is....
Doesn't get off to the best of starts, with the background including "He lives in Ireland", ahead of reference to TSB's specific problems with "some customers outside of the UK", a bone of contention way back in this thread as I recall, given OP's residence in Northern Ireland :wall:0 -

It seems Northern Ireland has been annexed from the UK. Further to this FOS have offered £100 compensation for their part in the process and I was also told to log a fresh complaint with TSB on their failure to respond to the original FOS recommendation in December.0 -

It'll be interesting to see what comes out of the next complaint to TSB - it certainly sounded from your earlier dealings with TSB that they'd resist any further payment but if FOS are suggesting you do this then they'd presumably be sympathetic if/when the case reaches them....0
