  • Oooh nice day for the Wildlife Park Valli.

Funny day, had to meet DS2 in the nearest big town to go to his bank. He has had some transactions on his card that weren't his and didn't want to ring them up. So that sort of split my day up - but I have managed to do quite a bit of paid stuff, make a casserole for tea, go to my gym class and have a tidy round.

Feet up now, glass of wine and a bit of telly.

  • Morning all,

Off to work shortly (via my friends house who is taking kiddies to school for me) so a quick post from me.

Washing on line, DW unloaded, beds made. Tomorrow is my only day off and I have a list as long as my arm to get through.

    Hugs to everyone xx

    Morning all,

Bedding whirling round in the wm, then I am off shortly for school run and maybe a market visit.

Before he just left, DH asked me what I was doing today. So instead of muttering something inane, he got about half my list. "You'll never get through that," he scoffed. But then he has evidently never seem a flylady list, has he? He is admittedly Mr One Job At A Time (if I'm lucky, that is). :rotfl:

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Helloooo!

Utterly exhausted this morning. Rubbish night tossing and turning. DH is away on business until Thursday, so that may be why. Got so much on today, it's unreal, ending with four additional children to collect from school, plus my two, walk back home as I can't stuff them all in the car together, just after a Listed Building Inspector site visit at 2pm, which I'm sure will over-run, a visit from my long-term boarders' owner and a frantic fly round with the new Henry (replacement for the previous vacuum cleaner that was eaten...)

    Breathe.....

Yes! Wow been in close proximity to mr Piggers! Swoon! In fact, I might have worked out which group he was with, the one which entered not long after us, while we were paying and toileting.

Back in bed after a trip out to get milk for coffee. Pegged out while I was dressed.

Happy Birthday Valli! Sounds like you all had a good day out yesterday :D

Plodding on here. The sun is shining, lunch for 3 is in the SC, and my first cuppa of the day was excellent. House is clean and tidy - well, except for the top of our bedroom CoD, the mancave, utility and my study, but the last two are improving slowly. DH is still asleep, but needs to be up and dressed by 9.00 because his car is going in for servicing (they are collecting and returning it :))

I spent yesterday morning talking things through with a wise friend, which will have a big impact on today's meeting with my colleague regarding the continuation (or, rather, not) of our joint project - but I hope my decision doesn't also put an end to a friendship which goes all the way back to our first day at uni in 1967.

I almost had to force DH to go out to his model railway club yesterday evening because his mate who offers him a lift is away, but he went in the end (I took him and collected him, but it's not far) and he enjoyed it.

How is going back to work working out ATB? It sounds busy.

Sorry your OH's family are acting like complete a**e's, Jojo.

As you say, Dizzy, and 'Breathe.' Was it a co-incidence that I typed your name twice as Bizzy?

Ionafan, if it's a real friendship, it won't. She'll be relieved that you trust her enough to tell her you need to rein things in a bit and glad of the opportunity to make your life easier/better/more manageable.

Up early for me, OH still being away, ready for plumbers to start the last of the work - should only take two days. Ho ho ho. 2 dog walks, shower room given a respectable clean, DW emptied, washing up done, sitting room put to rights, kittens fed and put away in my office for the day. I think I've got the day off the right start; it's going to be a busy one.
    Better is good enough.
