((Hugs)) Ionafan. I completely get that the Rosie walks provide the sanity break.
((Hugs)) also, Natty. So lovely to read your posts again. X
Well done, Kaz! :T
Jojo - the selfishness is just one step beyond. Sorry, no practical help, but I hope the rage vacuuming helps temporarily.
I've not made a lot of progress on the list front today before and after work. I did get 2 loads of washing done, 1 of which nearly managed to get dried. Dinner cooked, kitchen given a cursory wipe down, and that has been about it. Tomorrow I will try to attack the lists in between doing some extra time at work (struggling to cope with being so behind, even though everyone knows that the hours aren't really enough for the job that they want. To the standard that I feel it needs to be done), and picking up DD for an appointment. The paperwork mountain is growing (let's not mention the ironing pile, shall we?), but I am not going to tackle that this evening.

Hugs to those struggling.
I finished my presentation, walked the dogs twice, changed the bedding and washed and dried two wash loads. Went for a cuppa with friends as well.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
this time 25 years ago I was 'in labour' not that it felt like it. (Backache which was constant with no distinguishable contractions) About 4 hours away from an emergency c-section for an oxygen starved baby. It doesn't show...
The result of the emergency c-section brought in my washing - two washloads of bedding line dried.
I was 'the office' this morning. And teaching this pm. Talk about what have you done today to make you confused.

Wishing these lists aren’t compulsory honey. Only do what you can, and if that is Level One then that’s fine. We don’t want you to beat yourself up over them. Heck I’ve not done any of them properly over the summer and I’m one of the list writers..lol

Thanks Natty,
I know. I just get frustrated sometimes at how amazing my house could be if I didn't have to do life too.
Saying that, things are ok at the moment. I seem to be on top of most of the. Day to day stuff.
No phone calls for any supply work this week, which I'm not upset about means I should get some time on Wednesday and/or Thursday to do some bigger jobs. I think I'll write a list tomorrow evening to prepare myself. A tip trip could be in order I think.
I have mentioned to hubby this evening that we need to sort through Pickle's toys and do a pre-Christmas fling. Hubby is a terrible hoarder though, so not sure how that will go.
Tomorrow is a full day of work. Then the evening is more knitting. I've set myself a challenge of 10 rows a night, I'm now a day's worth of rows ahead. If I can get 13 rows done tomorrow I'll have finished the instarsia work and will be done to repeating pattern with one ball of wool.

Morning all,
Just waiting for the WM to finish. Clean towels folded and put away, ironing pile sorted, and 2 birthday cards written and ready to post. I'm feeling a bit unsettled and fragile this morning for some reason, so I am trying to distract myself. Can you tell?wishingthemortgaheaway wrote: »Hubby is a terrible hoarder though, so not sure how that will go.
WM done, I am going to tackle some of yesterday's list, then I will go to work for an hour or so. If I go in earlier, I know that I will spend the morning there and get drawn into things that I can't afford the time for.
Back later. Have a good day.0 -
Hugs to all of you that need/want. Sorry to hear so many of you having a hard time of it.
Am back in today, a day late but not a problem as enjoyed a long weekend with family so feeling quite good about life and myself in general, so hoping that will lead to some motivation. Classes/groups start today at work so will be nice to do what I enjoy and hopefully will help me settle into some sort of routine.
House is tidy (superficially), WM is on, recycling is out. Bags unpacked from the weekend and all put away. Will try and deep clean somewhere this morning, did stairs and downstairs loo & cloakroom last week so will give them a quick S&S so that they stay nice. Might be dot to dot deep cleaning as have pockets of time here and there. Also hope to get out into garden and that is a big mess. Autumn has arrived here, loads of leaves have come down over the weekend and it was hardly above freezing this morning although beautifully sunny. Heating came on so can take that as checked.
Right first job is dinner for tonight as healthy eating is back on the agenda!0 -
Me again.
Kitchen is sparkly clean, as sparkly as a 20 something year old kitchen gets anyway. I traded the kitchen drawer of doom for the cupboard under the sink, and the hob for the oven. Whoever knew that there was a bottle brush lurking at the back of the drawer
I've been to work for a couple of hours, done what I went in to do and nothing else. Just sneaking some lunch as I've just remembered that I haven't got round to eating yet today, then I have left the vacuum cleaner in the middle of the living room floor in the hope that it will make me clean in there.0 -
I'm afraid there's no chance of a Deep Clean here - I'm only just keeping up with the essentials.
Dog Swap day today. We don't normally do this, but I've agreed, as a favour to a client; so Bluebell left at 10:30 this morning; we had a mad dash into town to pick up my morphine and other meds, get Mr Wolf's flu jab done, and do a somewhat large F&V shop.
Home, shove Mr Wolf's Sinemet tablet down his throat, do a WM load, vacuum, tidy round, have a quick bite to eat (whilst updating spreadsheets), WUDUPA,and we're up to *now*.
Bessie is due to arrive in about half an hour.
I have the same (less the flu jab) next week in reverse - Bessie will be leaving in the morning, Bluebell will be returning in the afternoon. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
