  • I didn't realise the thread had gone to a second page! Sorry for the delay responding Coupon-mad...
  • It was daylight in all three cases. It may have been raining for the second or third event. Not for the Sunday one.
I don't think there are any signs explicitly forbidding parking when the shop is closed and I don't think they lock the gates even at night.
  • OBTAINING INFORMATION BY EMAIL FROM PARKINGEYE?

Does anyone know if it is possible to correspond with PE by email including backdating letters already sent by them?
I'm finding it difficult not having direct access to my mail.
I am currently waiting for a response to an online appeal which I'm expecting to come by email. Am I mistaken about this?
Thanks for any advice about this.

I am currently waiting for a response to an online appeal which I'm expecting to come by email.
They have 35 (give or take) days to reply to an online appeal and it might be by post or by email.

Why do you need to contact them, to get copy PCNs or letters?

I would send a SAR to their Data Protection Officer,* proving you are the rk of the vehicle (attach your V5 only, NOT your insurance even if they ask for that..! too much unwarranted data intrusion). Ask for copies of BOTH SIDES of all PCNs and letters sent, and ask them to 'rectify' the postal address data to show your actual address for service (work/friends/relative's addy).

They will reply fairly quickly and that will get you the PCNs.

*look for the contact details of their DPO team, on their 'privacy' webpage.

  • Ok thanks Coupon-mad. Gotta log off now...
  • Proving I'm the RK could be tricky. My new V5 has been sent to the same address!
Would a photo of my driving licence do?

No because that doesn't show the car as your 'personal data'.

And it's asking them to assume you were the driver, which we NEVER do. Surely there is an online version or email the DVLA sent to you, confirming your new V5 was on its way?

I now have had my mail forwarded and am in possession of the original letters.
I have also taken pictures of the signage in the car park where the first three incidents took place. The expected 5th notice has not materialised thankfully.
The forth incident was a supermarket in Bangor. Overstay 40 mins for a 3 hour limit. Doh!
I have not yet contacted the land owner. Welcome suggestions for how to handle that one. I was a customer but only bought a few groceries. It was a Sunday afternoon and the car park almost empty.
The signage for the store in Glastonbury was replaced when PE took on the management some time last year.
I'll see if I can attach the photos...
    ...
Hmm. That's not obvious. Advice about how to handle photos please...

We normally say host them in Dropbox then post a share/link.

If you can't yet show links as a newbie, change the http to hxxp and add a break.

I have also appealed the second charge using the template recommended. I removed the bit about only postal correspondence in light of my absence at my official address.
I also have received a reply from the land owner rejecting my request for cancellation. I will reply with a further request to cancel 2 of the 3 charges.
