Chromebooks are ok but you need at least 4gb of ram (the cheapest have 2gb). Besides they do everything you need if you are ok using google products.
I have HP 14inch chromebook and for me it's a perfect backup laptop because I'm an IT guy ;-)
What a strange post. You joined to post that?? :rotfl:0 -

I'm guessing that you paid for Windows 10 Home, instead of installing Windows 10 Pro for nothing.0 -

I understand. Watched a program about that recently.
Though it is very quick and easy to install and the benefit is that you can choose defer the pesky updates that Windows 10 Home users have to suffer.
That option was 33 Pounds more installed by the vendor....or free installed by yourself.
Either way, it's good that you obtained something beyond your initial expectation.
I too would have purchased one if I didn't already have so many devices.0 -
While I think Chromebooks are a nice idea, it's not clear to me what purpose they actually serve. You could get a similar second hand laptop which you could run Linux or Windows on, have some upgrade options etc.
Not really seeing it myself, but there we go.0 -
nowadays I only use a laptop for browsing, streaming and email
I find a laptop chromebook does this perfectly for me
Have the windows10 on PC, if i need anything more which is seldom0 -

I've always considered them to be a bigger tablet with a keyboard but each to their own. I suspect anyone considering a Chromebook BTW wouldn't have a clue what Linux is.0
