Kennel Club advice to children
If standing - be tree
If lying - be a stone.
In other words keep totally still and do not look at the dog so you are boring.

I am wondering if the dog would pee on you if you adopted this strategy!0 -
I'd say, oh i am in a park known for dogs being walked and i have suffered no injury and there was no aggression. I am just easily startled, which is my problem and i probably shouldn't make a big deal out of nothing, however, this is 2018, i could potentially be upset by the sight of a dog, did that dog just assume my gender? I am unsure, i bet a no win no fee solicitor could find a reason for me to get compensation.
I hear it is now against the law to be perceived unfriendly, maybe i perceived this dog to be unfriendly, as the dog has an owner, maybe i could make the owner responsible. After all, i do need a holiday and why should i pay for it...
I could be a normal human being and just carry on with my day but i wont get any attention for that.
I wonder if the local pres will take a picture of my best comp face."
Or something....0 -

I was curious to see what other would have done in my situation. I have nothing further to add."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Yes, the best thing to do when a person over reacts its to find someone else to blame, invade their privacy and slander them all over social media.
you certainly wouldnt be taking photos of me if you over reacted to a none event..0 -
Ex milkman here so plenty of dog experience. Never was bitten by a snappy dog only by biting dogs, so ignored the snappy ones and carried on with the job, they soon went on their merry way. It's nothing , not nothink.0

Why should people have to put up with unwanted attention from uncontrolled dogs? I guess you are one of those idiot dog owners that would say "oh, it's just being friendly".Not even wrong0 -

It's happened to me and I did what sheramber suggested, stood still. I have dogs and know the more you flap about the more agitated/excited they become. Keep still and they generally lose interest.0
