Indeed. Although perhaps she saw the thread drift off course and comments posted were irrelevant to her situation.0

Very few and far between methinks - # 40 above covers it.I'm not suggesting it - I'm stating it as a fact. I've done it myself and I've seen / met others who do it too.
Why would anybody with a (minimum 15kg) hold luggage allowance elect to go with only a small hand bag with 5kg/6kg on a 7 night holiday ?
Apologies to the OP for diverting.0 -
I wonder if the OP will post saying if it was resolved.0

Post #40 doesn't really cover it. It just describes people who travel on package holidays.
We often travel with hand luggage only, worldwide. We did San Francisco to Mexico and back on hand luggage only..
Sometimes when I do take hold luggage, I often wear no more than 25% of the clothes I take with me.
I've also missed flights waiting for hold luggage to appear on a carousel.
So don't assume that people take luggage just because they can.
I met one girl travelling from the USA to Thailand with just a pillowcase as luggage. She tied it at the edges with pieces of string and utilised that to carry her things.0 -
I don't know anybody who has ever gone on holiday with only minimal cabin bags, maybe I need to get out more, or haven't been observant enough over the past 60 years !!!0
