Been busy making lists this evening
Lots of lists :rotfl: Asked OH if he could occasionally just pick a list and do a job off it
Right, off for a bath & then to bed. I'm shattered. See you all tomorrow
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning All
Hope everyone else is still in bed and enjoying a lie in.:D
Didn't do a lot of flying yesterday - did a bit of Christmas shopping - went food shopping - I think that was about it!
I was absolutely shattered last night as I've been up the past few nights with the kids and then up early in the mornings so DH sent me to bed - before the kids had even gone.:o
Need to do a meal-plan for this week next with me now working full time so at least that will be one less thing to think about when I get in.
I also want to tidy up downstairs, hoover through, dust, etc. etc. but we'll see - I don't know what DH has got planned today.
Hope everyone has better days today.
Hugs to all

DH got in at 5:15 and woke me up. I have been awake since then, so feeling shattered and grumpy cos i know i am going to have another long hard day. Why is the weekend so short and quick, and the week so long and hard? No wonder i end up feeling so shattered.
Going to get the WM on in a minute and try to get a few houseworky bits done while DH is in bed. I am really hoping he is up before midday but i can't see it. (10:30 as he woke when i took charlie to bed)
Anyway, going to just get on with it instead of whinging and spoiling the mood.
Michelle, x0 -
Take it easy Michelle. Don't try to do much - you've got enough on your plate with Charlie, feeling sicky and a full time job.

not much choice i am afraid. We have inspectors in on monday and tuesday, so i have to have stuff prepared thoroughly. That's why i am quite annoyed with DH as he has known about it since wednesday, and yet still worked from 8am yesterday morning to 5am this morning. MEN!!
He knows how much it has wound me up too as there is a bunch of flowers on the dining table. He has bought me flowers once in the 8 years we have been together.
Just done something nasty to my back as well. Charlie suddenly threw himself when i was holding him, and my back has pinged. It feels like i have pulled something or trapped something between my shoulders.
Have a nice day anyway Julie, feels like you get loads done when you are up early doesn't it. Less distractions like later in the day.0 -
Pigpen - i've decided the only way to make my DH do anything I want him to do is sow the seed then say nothing. Then, when he does it I praise him like he's a little kid (whilst sniggering to myself) and he moves straight on to the next thing. Think his ego is in need of massaging and if it means I get everything done then i'm happy to do it. Where is he now? Tidying the study!!!! I just happened to mention that now the rest of the house is looking so good it's great we've got his study as a general dumping ground. He didn't like that idea so he's up there as we speak - method in my madness!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
How true! Although my DH was quite good and didn't always need that kind of 'encouragement' and whilst neither of us are what you could call neat freaks he was a dab hand at bottoming things when we decided it had to be done.
Well got the first few tiles laid and so far so good. Quite a few cuts to make today so it's great to have mum and dad to help. They are mixing and laying, A is passing spacers, tiles and helping, W will help by watching DVD'sand I shall be measuring and cutting this afternoon
Will be a long day but hopefully a very productive and fulfilling one.

Morning All
Another early start for me thanks to my cat, again he wanted to go out at 4am. Wish he had a cat flap like we did at our old house as it wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunatley theres no where to put one.
Lots of tidying today, ex-OH had a tidy at his house yesterday and decided to give all his junk to DS, so now that's all strewn across the kitchen table.
Plan for today:-- Tidy up
- Wash dishes from last nite
- Washing & Ironing
- Take DS to his Football match - luckily it home game
- Do dinner (and wash up
)
- Help DS sort stuff for tomorrow
See you all later

morning
still in bed at the min again so being lazy. OH and I having a stupid conversation by IM - he's downstairs and me upstairs! he's home today so no idea what plan is. Cant go anywhere unless on bike and 20 mins ago looked good as all i could see from the roof window was bright blue sky and now its raining so no car hunting today. At least when I desperately need one i have arranged to borrow my dads but its a 4.2 jag  and he's a real mcp about women drivers.
Take it easy today michelle, you have so much on .your plate, just do what is essential.
Julie I'm with you on the full time work and it is hard and i find meal planning really makes a difference.
AnW I love doing jobs like you are, you'll get a real sense of achievement when its finished.
